Noted those two slips too olaf.
But I can for give him if he scores a goal like that every game!

I only hope his presence gives a few of our underperforming players a bit of a boot up the backside and, more importantly, the manager more confidence to send the team out to be more up-tempo and direct in the final third. I think we'd score goals and win matches then.
Just a thought like.

Still very early days yet, but I noticed those slips tended to happen when he dropped a bit too deep.  He looked a real threat when he got the ball in the final third though (he produced a sublime bit of skill and cross in the first half) and that's where he needs to play.

I would like to see him in the centre, just off Benteke. With that kind of talent you want to see him getting on the ball as much as he can. I know the goal came from being on the right and cutting in on his left but he can always drift out wide and do the same thing.

He can actually play football.  Can turn and create space.  Great signing

Already done more than 'super' marc managed in his last 2 seasons for us and this season for Leicester.

Oh and he's 3 years younger too.

Andi's winner at Stoke was liquid football as well.

Benteke's against Manure.

When we score they are good goals. When we score.

Super goal, it really was that good. No doubt James Nursey will be trying to flog him for us before the end of the window.

I'm not sure where to post this really, but anyway... I am very impressed by Gil. He has that ability to do something off the cuff and it is that sort of guile we have lacked for a very long time. His movement and passing is very good and he clearly has the ability to score goals.

That being said, I would say out best midfield would be him, Delph and Sanchez at home- is West Ham's or Southampton's really any better than that?

Gil reminds me so much of Carbone. The way he finds space, comfortable on the ball, low centre of gravity makes it hard to knock him off the ball too. Oh, and he score goals

I've just watched that goal again and it struck me how much he looked like Shaun Maloney when he struck it.
