Blackburn 3-0 Villa - 1993, that signalled the end of our Title challenge; I think Man Utd won at Palace that night as well. I was at Ewood that night and it was a very quiet journey back down the M6.

The 4-4 MNF at spurs was gut wrenching having lead 4-1 and taking the piss out of spurs with the happy birthday to you chants and have that tossed back at you .

Too right. It was so beautiful when it looked like we were going to piss all over their birthday celebrations...

Blackburn at home 1997-98. Collymore's home debut and they destroyed us. Had so much optimism going into that season and the bubble was burst by four defeats in a row.
Wimbledon away in the League Cup 1996
Palace away in the League Cup 1994. Both visits to Selhurst we were defending the cup and we lost both. To be fair we played well vs the Dons and did everything bar put the ball in the next whereas Palace smashed us - this at a time when they couldn't hit the proverbial barn door in the league. We did get revenge vs Wimbledon about 2 weeks later by thrashing them 5-0 but the Palace defeat really smarted for quite a while.

I was so excited about Collymore's home debut.  I was at Leicester the week before, where they beat us 1-0.

League Cup Semi v Leicester 1999/2000.  We could have done the bloody double that year.

Bradford 2012 - enough said.

Losing to Coventry in the FA Cup - 1998.

Man Utd Away 2009 3-2 We were robbed there. Still have flashbacks of Gabby and Young repeatedly beating the off-side trap, only for the linesman to repeatedly flag for offside.

Small Heath 2-2  2004.  That Stern John equalizer at the end felt like a defeat.

Coventry  1993 - drawing 0-0 then hearing that Man Utd had scored 2 goals in 7 minutes of injury time.

Bolton 2011 - Like everybody else, I thought we'd been relegated.

Losing 1-0 at home to Wolves under Houllier. It's the only time in the last few years where I really did think we would be relegated.

Getting knocked out by Bradford in 2012. A one off game against a lower league side you can just about take because it happens but over two legs was ridiculous.

I watched the highlights on You Tube the other week and the sense of injustice was still burning in me. I know it was only the quarter final but I reckon that must have been one of our best chances of winning the FA Cup in my lifetime.

The 2-1 home defeat against Ipswich in the Championship season. I really thought we'd blown it.

2-3 against Arsenal at the Emirates, 2-0 up at half time, celebrations below resembled VE day.
