Drawing 1-1 home to Baggies when Paul Robinson scored a last minute headed equaliser a few years back.

Man City grabbing a late equalizer at home in the FA Cup, we were live on the BBC, Baros scored from one of our only decent moves of the night and even then we couldn't see it out and conceded the typical 90th minute goal - Micah Richards was it? Naturally we got tonked in the replay when Darius Vassell was in that spell of scoring everytime he played against us.

Losing 2-1 at the Hawthorns in 1984 after being 1-0 up with 3 minutes to go - Carl Valentine FFS, what made it worse was that I was in the Brummie Road End too.

03-03-03. Horrible, poisonous experience in every possible way.

FA Cup QF away at 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' in 92. Referee in their pocket again.

FA Cup QF away at Oldham in 90. GT mark1  brain fade game.

Losing 3-0 in the San Siro in 1990. Cheating bastards.

Losing away at Norwich in the run in in March 93. Played them off the park and lost.

Losing at home to Oldham in final home game the same season - not that we're favourites to win the League by then of course, far from it, but it just confirmed that we wouldn't be winning it (I'd been in complete denial) and were now handing Sky the victory they so desperately wanted. The Theatre of fecking Dreams was born!!  I remember going straight home (no pub) and out for a walk after this match - I felt devastated.

And finally.......  FA Cup Final 2000 - felt worse than all of the above combined.

Are you sure that first one at albion was 2-1? I have a recollection of us leading 1-0 with not long to go and they scored 3 to win 3-1.

6 Nov 2010 Fulham 1-1 Villa

Equaliser scored in 90+5

Worse than any defeat I've ever witnessed

It was 3-1. I was there with my Dad. We were all over them and they somehow scored 3 in the last 6 minutes. Plus ca change...

I thought of this one today. I was a nipper at the time but it's the only time I remember crying over the Villa. As you say, cheating bastards.

Beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 and getting knocked out was pretty gut wrenching too. Especially as we had them on the ropes when Stanley Victor scored but then resorted to 20 minutes of long ball.

Christ, wish I'd not looked at this thread - I'd just about managed to banish that FA Cup final from my memory again.

Losing 1-0 at home to Wolves under Houllier. It's the only time in the last few years where I really did think we would be relegated.

Even with some stiff competition since, that's still one of the worst Villa games I can remember in recent times.  Dreadful from start to finish.

The FA cup QF 0-1 loss in 1980 at west ham last min pen. I think I went to sleep crying .

I watched the highlights on You Tube the other week and the sense of injustice was still burning in me. I know it was only the quarter final but I reckon that must have been one of our best chances of winning the FA Cup in my lifetime.

I was at that game, and it certainly was a hard one to take.

The ball for their third went over the byline before the cross came in.

Apart from the ball being nearly in the car park before being crossed for the first goal.......

Was that the game when Richards did a bad swear in the interview afterwards?

Yeah, and he was something like fourteen years old at the time.
