I defy anyone who thinks a manager on our budget of managers, budget for player wages and budget of actual fees could do better than Paul has done.

ILWT.

Ok, here is a question. Do you think 1 goal in front of the Holte End going into January is acceptable?

Do you honestly not think that there currently are other managers in the Premiership working with similar budgets who are doing better than Lambert?

One day H&V will discover just what "ILWT" means.

It's probably something that gets written on Lambert's tactics board but the players are none the wiser of what it means. It may just be the missing link that would guarantee us goals and a late top 6 push, but Lambert's mumbled explanations still do not make it any clearer and we're still looking over our shoulder and hoping to nick the odd one goal win here and there.

Don't remember us ever scoring as few as 11 in 19 under him. It was grim, but at least he had a distinguishable system.
It's 11 in 22 .

Pulis last year for one.

Lets also not overlook the fact the spine of our side should make most of the bottom half green with envy. Guzan, Vlaar, Delph, Sanchez, Benteke. Were Vlaar and Delph not allowed to get to this stage of their contracts you'd be talking 20 million quids worth of players there. Guzan would fetch around 7-10 in this market. Benteke has had a value flirting between 15-25 mill probably.

For such a meagre budget, that's still a lot of quality. We could also get silly money for someone like Westwood who's just the sort of limited, average English player who someone would pay over the odds for.

We're getting in quality. We could sell players to raise money for other players (like most clubs will have to). Our problem has been that we haven't earned anything decent on a player since Young and Downing fakked off. Bent will leave for nothing because of how badly we handled him. Zogbia likewise won't yield any return.

Budget is not an adequate excuse. It's one contributing factor but the biggest problem we have on the pitch is how Lambert has prepared and sent out his side (time and again).

I find it a bit ridiculous just how much people pick over his comments. What managers say in interviews and what they say to the players are two different things.

Mourinho is an excellent example. Despite how good Chelsea are, he is the most disingenuous manager going. Wenger is similar. Martinez's teams have always been "excellent", Pardew has memory lapses. Its just a slight of hand and a bit of window dressing.

They are, but I just can't imagine him being a particularly inspiring speaker in the dressing room.  Whenever the camera pans on to him to him on the touchline he seems to be mouthing pretty empty platitudes such as "well done" or "come on".

Lamberts tactics are as mumbled up as his dress sense. He's now taken to wearing half a suit and half a tracksuit .

Our goal record is shit regardless of which end we are shooting at, he will sort it like he sorted the defence. We have scored goals away too if you watch match if the day.

The coaching on the defence seems to have worked , he needs to get someone to work on the forwards.Benteke for instance can score great goals but his movement is shocking. He doesn't attack the area enough in the box and is caught offside far to much.

In CB's  defence one of his strong points his heading ability is nullified but some of the worse crossing imaginable.Thats not just from open play our set pieces currently are woeful Cleverly being one of the biggest offender's.

For all his faults his dress sense is the most irrelevant!
