Our goal record is shit regardless of which end we are shooting at, he will sort it like he sorted the defence. We have scored goals away too if you watch match if the day.

What's with the 'we've scored goals away too if you watch match of the day' comment? You're not the only one who travels away you know. You really need to cut out that kind of snidey shit.

Nobody is as good a Villa fan as he is, haven't you heard?

He's the bestest in the whole of the midlands.

The only Villa fan who went to Burnley away.

But he doesn't like to talk about it.

Serious point, here.

Westley, it is interesting to have someone who so clearly still believes in Lambert on here, and your take on things would be much appreciated.

However, one thing we have never put up with on here is the "better fan than you" thing. There have been plenty of people on here who have used that before, and they've all been banned for it.

As well as being tedious, it is also full of holes, as you have no idea who the people you are talking to on here are, so you're making huge assumptions. I'd also hazard a guess - if your age is as suggested by your email address - that some of these people on here you are talking to had gone to as many away matches as you have before you were born.

So, please, by all accounts, argue the toss about Lambert, it all adds to the site, but if the "better fan than yow" implications don't stop, then you'll be banned, and there won't be any further warnings.

Kevin please moderate your acronyms.   YMCA is offensive to non Christians and to the YWCA.   Unless of course you were suggesting we sing along with Village People in which case you are excused.

I can't help wondering whether all the 'better fan than yow' and the pro-Lambert stuff amount to the same thing.

I defy anyone who thinks a manager on our budget of managers, budget for player wages and budget of actual fees could do better than Paul has done.

ILWT.

I'd happily see one given the chance to defy you Westley!

This budget thing you keep banging on about as a badge of honour for Lambert is completely misleading for me, there is simply no excuse if he had the same squad of players for them not to be coached & improve - this squad have not improved, at best they are treading water.

...this squad have not improved, at best they are treading water.
Hmm, I'm not sure I buy that.

Clark, Baker, Westwood, Delph, Benteke, Weimann and Guzan all seem to be better than they were when he inherited/first bought them.

Others seem to have gone backwards, but it's not as if nobody has improved over the last couple of years.

Obviously we don't know if it's Lambert's doing that they have improved, but the same could be said about those who have got worse.

Can't argue with some of those although I'd counter that a team is a sum of its parts and this team is achieving no better in terms of performances or results than his first season.

I'm the ultimate part time fan nowadays and think Lambert has done a poor job so the opposite to WestleyAV.
