He's got a four year contract, he's going nowhere. Lots of moaning by "Villa fans" isn't helpful.

Oh, ah, right. Do you know, I knew I was going wrong somewhere! Thank you. Not only shouldn't I really be moaning but to do so suggests I'm not a real fan. It just gets worse...

What are the "" marks for?

The moaners say they are Villa fans. I was just quoting them. Honest.

What else could they be for?

Which is more of a fan; The guy that wont accept bad management, poor performances, rolling over for anyone considered to be a "top 8" team and duely expresses his opinion on fan forums, social media and match days in the hope that it may gather some momentum and force our heirachy to either up their game or f**k off OR the guy that carries on supporting in a positive manner and getting behind the team regardless in the hope that the current regime can turn things around and make us the next southampton or swansea.

The answer is neither, if anyone cares enough to be here moaning, they are a Villa fan and the exclamation marks arent necessary...

I have absolutely zero idea what you're talking about.

Well, in the real world, quotation marks are used to quote people. Hence, you know, why they are called what they are.

I count myself as a villa fan or 'villa fan' and I was a bit stunned that he got given another 4 years to be honest. I don't see the problem with people querying that.

I don't really see a problem querying our lack of creativity or entertainment value either. We're conceding plenty of goals on a regular basis now and we're not scoring any goals either, in combination it really can't get much worse than that.

The "" comment is probably a reason for the lack of discord being aimed at Lambert and Lerner in public.
I really don't think people are content with with what is happening at the club, I think they are concerned about speaking out for fear of being labelled unsupportive or disloyal.
You can't be a "real fan" if you moan about the club or don't support Lambert.

The other thing is that I accept that we can't financially compete at the moment and that we're not in the position to challenge high up the league. However I don't accept that we have to play in such a dull and uninspiring manner, particularly at home. We should be able to play better football than we do and produce more goal scoring opportunities than we do.

We didn't play badly until the second went in. The timing and the manner of the goal in retrospect killed the contest.

This is a genuine question as I didn't see the game, but prior to that point had we created many goal scoring opportunities? Because most reports stated Everton were full value for their lead at half time.

Hutton went within a whisker of scoring, on his wrong foot and after a good run as well. Truly a man reborn!

We had quite a bit of joy down their right hand side and put for or five balls in the box which seemed to panic Everton, as they struggled to clear the ball. We had played it quite nicely through midfield up to the edge of their box a number of times, not lumping, but good crisp passing and their fans were having a bit of a whinge about this. The problem was in the front three lacking movement and the final ball not quite being right.

We started the first few minutes of the second half brightly, then conceded a real poor goal on the break.

Percy old chum, is there any chance you can keep your pettiness to just one or two threads rather than bringing it into every thread that you want to post on? Hell, why not even bring back the original Off-Topic thread that you're complaining about if you really don't want to let it drop.

Thanks.

I understand that contracts mean nothing ( fingers crossed in the case of Lambert) but if he were to see out the next 4 years he would be our second longest serving manager since the war.

Is everyone complaining about the same thing as me being petty too?

Anyway, now it's been proven beyond doubt and pig-headedness that the use of quotation marks can be loaded, any chance you could remove the pertinent ones?

Thanks.

From the feed I watched I would agree with this. Benteke looked off the pace understandably but Nzogbia and Gabby offered nothing.Nzogbia was moved centrally in the 2nd half (which I think is his best position ) but gave away the ball and they scored. He looks short of confidence and sharpness , a year out and it shows.Perhaps he would be better as an impact sub for now.

That poll must have been done when we were second

I know the media are saying if redknap losing Monday he will be sacked but the same should be aimed at Lambert if villa lose but it is not going to happen but I would be seriously worried if we do.

Lets just hope Burnley, Sunderland and qpr carry on being worse than us if possible. Senders is important to get back quick and need CB to stop scoring but if you don't give him the ball in dangerous areas , he isn't going to .

Be interesting to see where we are at , before the next international break.
