There were some very pissed and quite gobby Newcastle fans meandering down Trinity Road just before kick off.

They got out of the fire exits on the coaches that were parked up just past the underpass. They were very gobby and giving it the big one, but most people seemed to ignore them and were neither arsed nor impressed.
I saw them too, straight out of the 80s, trapped in a time warp or what?.

There is no defending the twats who pretended to attack the Newcastle coaches. People like that just cause problems for those who travel away.

I agree that the guy is a knob an all, but a year in jail sounds a bit steep for punching a horse.  Surely being from Newcastle is punishment enough?

Put him in a room with the horse. I bet the horse wins.

Watched one of our fans punch a police horse at our last Wembley appearance. There are plenty of knobs everywhere.

It is a really dangerous thing to do. The horse could have bolted-despite its training. In a crowd someone could easily get badly injured or even killed. At least he gets to wear stripes for a year :)

Besides being dangerous, it's just fucking wrong.

Why in the name of God would you want to punch a harmless beast? It's not like he's actively signed up for the Police force is it?
