3) What is your style of play going to be like this season?
4) How much importance are you placing on this match?
5) Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?
6) Which of our players are you most afraid of?
7) What is your prediction for Villa this season?
8. How do you think Newcastle will do this season?
9) Scoreline prediction?
10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?

1) How do you think you'll line up?

4-3-3, maybe a bit of tinkering with the centre-halves and the midfield but, unless someone gets injured in training, no drastic changes. Our latest recruit, Kozak, might get a run-out if we're not winning. So hopefully he won't!

2) How was Villa's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?

In terms of friendlies, a mixed bag, but I don't care.

The transfer deals are hard to judge as most of them were unknown to me before the cricket season started. There have been glimpses of potential so far though. Obviously, as any fan will tell you, the main news that excited every Villa supporter occurred on that glorious day when hearts across the West Midlands leapt with joy as we discovered... somebody had finally taken Stephen fucking Ireland off us! Oh, and Benteke signed a new contract, which was nice.

3) What is your style of play going to be like this season?

Run run run run score, concede corner, fall asleep, concede, repeat ad nauseum. Hoping our defence is better than last year but, either way, we won't be boring to watch.

4) How much importance are you placing on this match?

About 26 lots of importance, give or take.

5) Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?

I doubt very much you need to be told this. The bloke who was being linked with every club in Europe before Lambert tricked him into signing a new contract by saying "it's just an autograph for dying kids, honest".

6) Which of our players are you most afraid of?

Any big, tall fucker you send up into our area when you get a corner.

7) What is your prediction for Villa this season?

Twelfth, but don't worry, it's Our Year For The Cup again.

8. How do you think Newcastle will do this season?

Last year I predicted you'd finish top eight and you were rubbish. The year before I predicted you'd go down and you were brilliant.

So, I'll predict that you'll win The Treble just to jinx you.

9) Scoreline prediction?

We'll score and concede, as usual. 2-1 to the Villa.

10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?

We've changed from a boring granny smith to an exotic guanabana.

1) How do you think you'll line up? Our usual formation.
2) How was Villa's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done? Very
3) What is your style of play going to be like this season? Attack. We don't do defending. Our counter attacking can tear apart any side in the country.
4) How much importance are you placing on this match? No more than any other early season game. Be good to get the first home win in though.
5) Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat? Gabby if he is on form. Benteke is a given.
6) Which of our players are you most afraid of? Ben Arfa, quality player on his day.
7) What is your prediction for Villa this season? 8th
8. How do you think Newcastle will do this season? Bottom 5. Pardew and Kinnear are utter twats. Pardew has the most punchable face in football, which is something considering some of the competition.
9) Scoreline prediction? 2-2 knowing us
10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be? WTF?

1) How do you think you'll line up?

I think the same side as Salsa Party Animal posted.

Quote
2) How was Villa's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?

Would have liked a dynamic attacking midfielder to have come in and maybe another centre half. That said we've got a good balance in midfield and Vlaar has looked good alongside Okore so these seem less essential. Beyond that we did well. Bought a centre half who looks fantastic in Okore and a number of other players who strengthen the squad.

Quote
3) What is your style of play going to be like this season?

A bit of everything. On our day we can do some good stuff passing the ball but we're also good on the counter with our pace and power up front.

Quote
4) How much importance are you placing on this match?

We've had an absolutely shocking first three fixtures and did better than expected. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are not really games that we expect to get something from. No disrespect, but Newcastle at home is a game we need and expect to win and I think we need another three points on the board from it. So I'm placing a fair bit of importance on it.

Quote
5) Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?

Look out for Fabian Delph who has been superb this year. Okore looks an excellent find too. As for our biggest threat It's impossible to look past the Belgian Beast.

Quote
6) Which of our players are you most afraid of?

From what I've heard, Cabaye looks likely to make a come back in this one and I think that he's a terrific player. He might not hog the limelight but he'll make you a better outfit than you've looked in other outings this season. I also think that Ben Arfa is one for us to be wary of, especially if he is in form.

Quote
7) What is your prediction for Villa this season?

9th. Maybe a cup run.

Quote
8). How do you think Newcastle will do this season?

Difficult to say at this stage of the season. I'll predict a stormy season of Internecine strife before a 15th or 16th place finish.

Quote
9) Scoreline prediction?

2-1 to us.

Quote
10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?

Kumquat.

1) How do you think you'll line up?
2) How was Villa's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?

9) Scoreline prediction?
10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?

1) How do you think you'll line up?
Something new. Lambert likes to tinker and we have played 4-3-3 too often in a row. It would not surprise me if we lined up with 3 at the back for instance. Lambert is like that. Likes to change.

2) How was Villa's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?
Delighted. Lots of exciting new players who get me more excited than the usual over valued dross we have seen in the past. Okore and Luna are excellent in particular. The only downside is the lack of signing a creative mid. But this is Lambert so he just signs more attackers instead. He is like our Keegan, but without the helicopter.

3) What is your style of play going to be like this season?
Counter attacking away, overloading attack at home. At least so far, but as I noted Lambert changes stuff all the time.

4) How much importance are you placing on this match?
Not much. It would be nice to beat the teams around us though and I think both our clubs are trying to climb away from the relegation battles this season.

5) Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?
We are not a one man team so it is hard to say. if I had to pick one guy to mark out of the game then obviously Benteke, but if you do that then space opens up for gabby or weimann. We can be a handful.

6) Which of our players are you most afraid of?
Cabaye.

7) What is your prediction for Villa this season?
No idea. We are a wildcard team this year. Could be another relegation battle could be pushing for top 8. Ask me in December.

8. How do you think Newcastle will do this season?
No idea. How the hell can you predict a team and manager who went so up and then down over two seasons? Exciting to find out though?

9) Scoreline prediction?
No idea. We will probably concede and probably score though. Thats who we are.

10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?
Papaya. Once you scrape out the crap from the middle we are pretty tasty.

Disappointing that PWS didn't go along with the all-important fruit question.

Can't answer anything apart from the fruit question.

We'd be a Kiwi.  Kiwi fruit is extremely high in fiber.  Watching us defend corners is like eating 6 in one go.

4-3-3

I think we have strengthened the squad and hopefully pulled off what will prove to be a couple  of really good deals at least.

Counter attack. Score goals. Concede goals.

The match is very important. We can't wait till February again to sort out our home form.

Benteke and Agbonlahor.

Remy showed me enough last season to make me think he will score a few goals in the Premier League.

9th.

I think you will struggle and have to pull a few signings out of the bag in January.

2-0. And anyone will tell you that predicting us to keep a clean sheet is either brave or stupid.

Apple. First one I thought of.

1) How do you think you'll line up?
Probably a 4-3-3 of some kind, although Lambert tends to tinker with formations, and our usual set up hasn't been too effective at home so we might see something new on saturday.  Guzan-Vlaar-Delph-Benteke will definently be the spine of the team though.

2) How was Villa's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?
Pretty good all round.  Got players in early so they could bed in, upgraded at LB and CB and added some much needed depth elsewhere.  And kept hold of one of the best strikers in europe.  And shifted Stephen 'Lazy Tit' Ireland.  The continung lack of a number 10 is a concern though.

3) What is your style of play going to be like this season?
ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK

4) How much importance are you placing on this match?
Not much.  That said, we came away from a really difficult start with 3 points (and our dignity intact), so to drop points agaisnt a side we should really be beating on our own patch would be disappointing.

5) Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?
Any of the Gabby-Benteke-Weimann front 3.  Benteke needs no introduction, but as many teams learnt to their cost last season, if you concentrate too much on him then you leave spaces and opportunities for the other two.

6) Which of our players are you most afraid of?
Ben Afreeee.  Also Yohan Kebab will have something to prove given the non-transfer malarkey.

7) What is your prediction for Villa this season?
8-12.  A lot depends on whether we can find a way to improve our home form.

8. How do you think Newcastle will do this season?
Anywhere from 18th to 8th, and I wouldn't be suprised.  Based on the quality of the squad, you'd expect a top half finish at the very least, but with Pardew, Kinnear and Ashley running the show?  I dont envy you.

9) Scoreline prediction?
2-1

10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?
An Apple - classic, timeless etc etc etc

1) How do you think you'll line up?

Pretty much as we did against Liverpool, with El Ahmadi replacing Bacuna.

2) How was Villa's summer? Are you happy with the transfer deals done?

Good Summer. Some good additions to the squad. Especially please with Luna and Okore so far.

3) What is your style of play going to be like this season?

An emphasis on passing the ball, and pressing the opposition, when not in possession. Lightning quick on the break. If all else fails, pass it to Benteke!

4) How much importance are you placing on this match?

Personally this is a big one for me. Firstly because I live in the North East, and have got quite a few mates who follow the Toon. Secondly, because this is going to give us a good idea of what we're capable of this season, after 3 games against clubs who are likely to finish above us both.

5) Who should we watch out for / who is your biggest threat?

There's an obvious answer to this question, Jordan Bowrey! Just kidding, I think you know Benteke is about as good a striker as any in the league at the moment.

6) Which of our players are you most afraid of?

Ben Arfa and Cabaye. Cisse has scored a couple past us, in the last few games too.

7) What is your prediction for Villa this season?

Anywhere between 12th & 8th is possible.

8. How do you think Newcastle will do this season?

If the team can hold it together, amidst all the crap that's going on behind the scenes, the same as us. If not, a relegation battle is a strong possibility.

9) Scoreline prediction?

Don't do score predictions, but I can't see it being 0-0.

10) If your football club was a fruit, what fruit would it be?

In honour of last season's away kit, a lime.

Can't respect a club who sacked the only decent manager they had in their history Chris Hughton and replaced him with the next gen rubber face (after Harry) Alan f in Pardew!

Do respect the 50K plus poor bastards who turn up at every home match. You are great supporters.
