Sad to see that WM regular Terry Wills has passed away after a long period of poor health.

Echo this Dave.  I was lucky enough to meet Terry about fifteen years ago.  An absolute gentleman

That's sad to hear. He always came across as one of dece t those Albion fans who you could actually have a sensible conversation with about football. He also sounded a very nice chap too.

Tonight they were asking callers to name famous ‘Phils’.

Franksy: There was a Villa one who scored a winning penalty against Inter Milan
Villa caller: Oh! I can see it now at the Wilton End but I can’t think of his name
Franksy: it’s the opposite of Queen
Villa caller: what letter does it begin with?

But this is Phil talking
I wanna tell you what I found to be true

You could and he was. As I said, he was one of that vanishing breed who loved football more than he loved his own team and went to matches as a neutral for the sheer enjoyment.

Heard Regan doing the AVFC TV matches .
I've always not minded him whenever heard on WM radio be interested to hear more of his views on Grealish situation too.
Think he does a good job on commentary

The start of the football season draws near. Time to bump this thread I feel, for a laugh.

Our Eddie not happy about Albion being back in the Championship. He's "never liked that Mickey Mouse league!".

Wondering when Bluenose Polly's going to pop up...

I'm amazed anyone listens to WM or reads the Birmingham Mail. Including my own parents. They hate it and get really wound up by it, but just won't stop.

To be fair I suppose they have been boing boinging up and down between the Premier League and 'that Mickey Mouse league' long enough to know what they are talking about. ;)

Not my Eddie. Old racist sack of organs. Fuck him, and radio windup merchants. That’s what I think the WM stands for. Only time I ever listen is the match coverage, never the phone in.

First time I’ve had it on in ages and yes comedy gold a plenty. Linda the nose was doing quite well complaining how badly run her club was then reverted to type when asked where all the local teams would finish. Said we’de finish 18th and Wolves 17th. “What about Walsall?” “Walsall? oh I like them cos Martin O’Conner does stuff for them”

This club, it breaks your heart Tom.

Are they still doing their lap of honour up in Sheffield?
