If Lerner sacks Lambert (a stupid thing to do) then I would say Dean Saunders (make him available - Ellis style)

Got to be Zola for me, will work wonders with our kids and give us all the boost we need to get the confidence back!

Where on earth is the evidence that he will work wonders with the kids?  Bringing in Zola would not give me a boost - Lambert has achieved far more as a manager.

Getting rid of Lambert would be, in my opinion, sheer lunacy.  It sends out all the wrong messages about our club.  We need to keep calm, see the bigger picture and back our man.

The 'bigger picture' is that Lambert will relegate us, the club will end up in financial turmoil, and what decent players we do have like Weimann and Benteke will be snapped up by Premier League teams.  We'll b lft with greatly reduced income whilst in the Premier League earn a huge amount more.  Our good young players will leave, and we'll be left with the likes of Given, Hutton and Irland on huge contracts which our Championship income will not match.  Lerner will then find it even harder to find a buyer as the club's debt grows.  When Lambert takes us down, we're far more likely to do a Sheffield Wednesday than a West Ham.

I can see Lambert being sacked after the transfer window is shut. That's how incompetent I see the board as being

me too. however, i see it as a calculated move by the board rather than incompetence.

After the experience of the last three managers we would be scraping the barrel when looking for our next manager. We really are good at turning decent managers into quivering wrecks - its a poisoned chalice

Yep, the club certainly will be looked upon as a basket case and poisoned chalice if we get rid of Lambert.  He's been in the job five minutes and has had to rebuild an entire defence and plug gaps in the squad on a very tight budget.  It's a very tough challenge and it will take time to sort out, I really think we have to dig in and show faith in the guy.  He left Norwich because he could see the huge potential in our club, let's give him the chance.

Alan Curbishley would improve this team and keep us up short term.

I think the bigger picture is that Randy Lerner will relegate the club.   Regardless of who we have running the team, since Lerner's policy of cutting back, every manager we have had has been fire-fighting and battling against the drop.  I really think we would be struggling with any other manager, too.  If we do go down I'd be asking Randy Lerner and Paul Faulkner to explain the mess they've got our club in.  If we buy no one this transfer window - and we all know we need three/four very decent new players - will that be Lambert's fault?

We need to do what Wigan have been doing for years in this situation:  we have to keep calm and show faith, get behind the manager and team and rally our way through.  The fact that we are in this Wigan-esque position is totally down to our Boardroom and shows their incompetence as football administrators- you can't run a Rolls Royce as though it were an Austin Allegro.

Cannot believe people are mentioning Hughes or Curbs, wouldn't want either

Neil Lennon is the man for the job, and he's take it I reckon, wants out the goldfish bowl of Glasgow, and wants to manage down in England

If we go down we'll disappear like Sheff Wed or Leeds. No way will we do a West Ham or Newcastle.

If we go down we should band together like Swansea and take our club back from this nightmarish ownership.

What are the maths on that?

Value of club after relegation between 40,000 of us e.g.

60m / 40,000

1.5K each I'm In!

Why if only? Other clubs have done it, and I think taking Aston Villa down would be just cause to do what we can to remove the cretins he put us there.
