I think the above post is a bit harsh. Agree we shouldn't get over excited and we could have been two down. But there were some good passing moments, two good goals, other chances created. I did leave feeling that if we can just organise a fairly bog standard defence and defensive midfield for the rest  of the season, through returning players and one or two signings, then surely our forward players are good enough to see us safe?

Both goals very good but they had enough chances and Given did his share.

That's cup football and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Pleased to hear Zog had some sort of a influence, he will be very important for us in the months to come as will Gabby.

That's one out of the way, no major problems.  See off Bradford Tuesday and then concentrate on the important Southampton game.

Personally I can't wait for the 3 seconds of highlights that ITV are going to show of our game after they've finished masturbating over a picture of Robin Van Persie's face.

When Van Persie scored, I had a sneaking admiration for the arrogant way he was nodding his head.

He might be a guest in the studio so they can do it over his actual face.

Wrong thread?

Blimey I missed quite a lot by not being at VP for the second half today!

That's not as easy as people think however there is a clue on the cable plug but you do have to look at it!

Anyone think much of Cresswell for Ipswich?

Wasn't he reputedly a target in the summer?

I thought we were shocking in the first half, much better in the 2nd
Given kept us in it
Baker, Bannan, Allbrighton all poor
Clark, Lichaj, Bennett very average
Delph impressive at times, Bowery has strength but out of position on the wing
Nzog - good at times, poor the rest of the time
Bent - keep don't sell
Weimann, our best player for me
Ireland, wasn't that bad was he ? was only on for 20 mins
Gabby, did well
a lot of playing the ball backwards though, we may have kept possession, until it went back to Given who had to hoof it on many an occassion
too many times we were on attack & it ended up with the ball going back to Given
Baker & Clark far to deep

I sat in lower north and didn't realise how good those goals were. was pleased to see nzog effort. albrighton trys hard but seems to have lost it completely
