Can people rate Ireland's appearance without giving your opinion on the player? Like, yeah, he may be a bit of a lost gobshite but how did he actually play?
I read tha an Ipswich guy got booked for fouling him and a couple of level-headed posters suggested he did ok but was it enough to push for a start at Bradford for example?

Anyone think much of Cresswell for Ipswich?

Wasn't he reputedly a target in the summer?

He was. Wondered how he looked?

My son and I both picked him as their best player. Class, fast, dangerous, three times the player Lichaj was, sadly.

Villa goals

Thanks for the link. We scored 2 good goals and it shows Bent does not need a winger to score. Thats a brilliant header from Weimann. A weak goal to give a way mind, Baker seemed to weak and what was Lichaj doing?

Is that Ireland looking really elated (not) when we score the 2nd goal? With less than 10 minutes to go and we have come from behind to nick a winner you would expect some enthusiasm?

Cress well was very good, but then so was Bennett. Wouldn't mind both of them in the squad. A better alternative to lichaj as back up full back would be good on both sides. But there are other priority areas for me that are more important

Personally I can't wait for the 3 seconds of highlights that ITV are going to show of our game after they've finished masturbating over a picture of Robin Van Persie's face.

it'll look like Michael J Fox filmed it from the Expressway with a Nokia N95.

That's just wrong, and of course made me laugh like a drain.

He didn't do very much I don't think. I can't really recall a particular contribution, compared to those of Gabby, CNZ and Weimann.

A big reason we won the game was because Weimann and Gabby offered so much more of a threat than Albrighton and Bowery had. Though Bowery did ok considering he was out of position

He did ok tbh. He came looking for the ball and was very tidy in small interchanges of play. He was the one who kept coming short to lay off frim throw ins when no one else seems to want to, The guy above calling him a parasite is being an idiot. Ireland may not be the greatest worker but he really links play well. If he had played a ball through we had scored from there would be a lot on here saying he did well and deserves a shot against bradford, such was the tidiness of the rest of his performance. It wasn't his day, he didn't do anything massive of note and such he is a parasite. The short termist football fan in a nutshell

It was just a case of getting through yesterday although we did make harder work of it than we should have. That said, i thought their keeper was decent, he made two really good saves in the first half which would have seen us go in 2-1 at half time.

Sat in the Lower North for the first time in a long while. Not bad for a tenner but i don't think i could sit there every week.

I though 'Splash' earlier this evening was ground-breaking television.
Applause.

It was on in the pub where i was after the Man Utd game had finished. I could'nt believe what i was watching. Alan Partridge came up with better ideas than that.

That would appear to be so however it was also that we should have been winning a long time before the last 10 mins against a very poor championship team and he was the most forward player in our attack.
