There were moments today when Delph drops his shoulder and accelerates into space where he looks a class midfield player. We need to persevere with him.

And Weiman is the best natural finisher I've seen at VP since Dwight. I think we have a real talent developing.

Experienced centre half and a strong physical holding midfield player and we will be fine this season.

I rarely post on this thread as it usually too negative
This could be due to the fact that we usually lose, draw and/or are excruciatingly bad.  ;-)

I think most are just happy we won a game as that outcome has not been often recently.

I am not getting carried away as Ipswich are bottom 6 of the championship for a reason but of course teams raise their game in the cup all the time.

Now is it too much to ask for us to start doing this against fellow bottom half teams in the premier league starting next weekend?

These next 6 weeks are a really crucial period for us, we need to start winning a game or two in the league.

Personally I can't wait for the 3 seconds of highlights that ITV are going to show of our game after they've finished masturbating over a picture of Robin Van Persie's face.

it'll look like Michael J Fox filmed it from the Expressway with a Nokia N95.

3 defeats in our last 11. It's actually not that bad a run. Shame they were such spectacular defeats though.

Weimann's goal celebrations are nearly as bad as Robbie Keane's. Not that I'm complaining, mind. ;-)

Is it something like five defeats in seventeen? Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs and er... Wigan.

I hope to see more of those dreadful celebrations before the season's done.

The highlights were captured using 17 HD image capturing devices with commentary delivered in logic 7 sound quality. Please stop criticising ITV.

Bowery - not bad at all, always looking to get on his right foot, but promising game.

?? he's left footed !!

It's such hard work watching anything on ITV what with the constant breaks for commercials. They're always so damn noisy as well. I'm forever turning the sound down when they come on.

I'm moving to Suffolk to start my own business selling tracksuits. Did you see how many of their bumpkin fans were wearing them? It was like being at the airport at the start of the Rover fortnight.

I though 'Splash' earlier this evening was ground-breaking television.

It's probably the flagship show now.

Given - Not much to do, but what he did do he did well.
Lichaj - He's no more than a squad player I'm afraid.
Bennett - Looking better every game.
Clark - He looks really really good, or poor. Never a solid 7 out of 10 always a 9 or a 6.
Baker - A little like Bennett, but he does look likely to drop a bollock (see the goal they scored today)
Albrighton - Always willing, always trying. I just don't think he's good enough
Delph - In any one game he can look anything between International Class and Sunday morning standard. He needs to become more consistent.
Bannan - I love his willingness to want the ball all of the time, but his dead ball delivery isn't good enough. He reminds of the kid in kids games who takes all the throw ins, corners, free kicks.
N'Zogbia - His best performance in a Villa shirt by far, I want to see him perform like that against premiership opponents now though like he did at Wigan.
Bowery - I was impressed by the fella and he deserved his standing ovation. Unlucky not to score in the 19th minute but I thought his workrate and quality at times were excellent. He's a little raw, but he has a look of Stan Collymore to me.
Bent - Worked hard, his finish was quality. He needs to be kept hold of and used regularly to allow Gabby and Benteke some rest time.

Subs:
Weimann - Just when you think he's done nothing for 10 minutes he comes up with a finish like today. Clearly playing with a groin problem, but he never hid and his work rate was awesome
Ireland - A complete waste of oxygen. I doubt we could give this parasite away for free such are his stupid wages.
Gabby - Came on and looked lively. I can see him having some involvement on Tuesday.
