I didn't know about Stokes...but just checked and you're right...it's fcuking annoying - 3rd Durham wicket fallen Arshad was due in according to card but have sent Richardson in before him so i assume Stokes not far away. All teams want to finish as high as possible with Middx playing their last game this week Bears had possibility of getting up to 3rd which conceivably may not happen now due to Rankin factor.
Durham 25-3 , raining at Headingley with Yorks 90-2. Still off at Edgbaston although not actually raining but light not good - thats 1/2 mile from ground. Haven't gone due to weather forecast!

It strikes me that we are far too accommodating when England come calling. Maybe we want to protect our International venue status? Povey will always deny it but I'm certain that they're linked.

Perhaps one of the reasons Bairstow struggled to find his form against Australia is that he hadn't been allowed to play any competitive cricket for Yorkshire for the 5 weeks leading up to the first Test. Surely playing competitively would have been better preparation than hours in the nets?

Pissing down at mine so no chance at Edgbaston....i would imagine for the day now.
Durham getting a lead now up to 100-6 35.5
In the Champions League T20 Otago Volts won by 8 wkts Brendon McCallum 80+ off 69.
Next game between Sunrisers Hyderabad v Kandurata Morons about to start...Hyderabad winning toss and fielding......ooops that should read Maroons - they play in a nice claret and blue kit!!!

Play called off for the day at Edgbaston. Still raining at Headingley

111-6 at Durham

Kandurata Villa are 43-2 6.5 overs. They have let 2 in at the back i'm afraid!

188-6 Durham and marching towards the title !
Any hopes of a substandard pitch seem to have evaporated with this century plus stand.

Fair play to Durham , they have had a flying finish to the season  and deserve the crown.

207-8
Onions Ct Fletcher b Mullaney 8
Off for bad light with 4 overs left.

A point to note: Jack Birkenshaw pitch inspector is at Durham but he will not make a decision tonight he will remain in Chester Le Street for tomorrows play. I imagine the partnership of 121 between Mustard & Collingwood may have some bearing on his decision.
