Any news on Darren Bent? He picked up an injury at Bradford so is he  be available against Southampton?

Ligament damage - 10 days at least.
Vlaar may be fit, Westwood and Holman back.

Herd out several weeks, albrighton 2 months, given doubtful,  dunne back training next week hopefully.

Dunne be handy back can be dodgy at times but also can play the odd blinder like he did towards end of season.

Interesting to hear that Given's out, does this mean Siegrist will be on the bench? Do we still have Andy Marshall?

What's up with Herd? Or does he have a fake injury because he may be the culprit?

Physio Room has updated, it cites Saturday 19th of Jan as Vlaar's return date, and the 22nd for Bent.

Football365 saying Dunne will resume training this week.  Never thought we'd be so desperate for him to return.

Could see him in February then.

Think I'd go Vlaar-Baker for the next few weeks and then if the situation is still desperate in the run in Vlaar-Dunne as a last resort.

If we continue to leak goals as we have been doing I would say Dunne - Vlaar will be the pairing Lambert should go for at the business end of the season

Baker looks promising but we have been crying out for experience all season so go with Concrete and Two Tonne for the run in

It wouldn't surprise me if the club knew immediately that Vlaar would be out for months, but hid it from us like they have to keep us happy and from turning on Lambert. Vlaar was his big signing and his injury record was a concern for many of us.

Just looked online, and his injury history is horrendous which I didn't realise at the time.  It makes the decision not to get another central defender in the summer even more bonkers.

So...more of a High Alumina Cement Concrete Ron, then?

From the above website:
'General Notes on High Alumina Cement Concrete
HAC concrete has achieved a certain notoriety following the collapse of several buildings in the 1970's'
