Given the position we're in it better be a very good reason that Bent doesn't make the bench, because we need goals.

sorry if it has been dealt with elsewhere, but is there any truth in the rumour that Bent isn't playing because another game would trigger a further payment to Sunderland?

No Bent and no Ireland tells us that Lambo will not do a single thing to win a game if he dislikes a player's attitude. Ballsy, definitely ballsy. Ballsy is always associated either with success or abject failure.

Lambert says aston villa are the most  important thing - his job is to win games and while bent is on £60000 a week or whatever and fit he should be considered for selection- we shouldn't risk results for the sake of personality clashes if that's what's happening.

Kendrick tweeted is was a load of horlicks. Who knows, but I can't see why game 48 in the league or 53rd in total would trigger a payment.

Kendrick tweeted the club had said that was rubbish- no truth in it.

Anyway lets hope the 11 on the pitch  turn in a decent display and win , if not I fear the bent  none selection will only become more controversial.

Lambert had better hope we win this because I find the decision to leave bent out of the squad quite ridiculous- he should be at least on the bench.

A case of too stubborn for his own good me thinks- glad to see baker fit again and Holman for kea makes sense.

But you, we, don't know what's been said or done behind the scenes.

According to lambert there's no problem with bent which makes it seem ridiculous, he keeps saying there's no rift and then not picking him .

Well he's not going to come out and say anything to that effect is he?

Good team that, Holman will provide more of a threat than KEA and will certainly ruffle a few feathers when their backline have the ball.

There is something not right about this whole situation. There has to be a problem with Bent and Lambert.
