No Bent in the squad. NNNNOOOOO! We are not scoring goals, fools. There'd better be something/ ones good due in January.

Darren bent must be the laziest tosser in training to again not make the squad. He's 100% off as there's no way back from this

Well I don't think that leaves much doubt about the future of Bent.

I guess the ball is in Bent's court.

Lambert had better hope we win this because I find the decision to leave bent out of the squad quite ridiculous- he should be at least on the bench.

A case of too stubborn for his own good me thinks- glad to see baker fit again and Holman for kea makes sense.

I stand corrected! We are playing two left footed centre backs. There's no reason it shouldn't be possible - you wouldn't think twice about two right footed centre backs - but it just feels wrong. Let's see.

Should be stronger at set pieces than if Lowton was at CB, with the added bonus that Lichaj isn't on the pitch to give away his customary 2-3 needless free kicks in danger areas. I don't think Lambert rates Lichaj or Herd, and I can see why personally.

Come on you villa boys!!

As to the lads that ARE playing, thats quite a lightweight line-up. Should be able to get a win, though.

But you, we, don't know what's been said or done behind the scenes.

No Bent is just ridiculous. Bowery ahead of him? If his attitude is that shit I wish Lambert would tell us; I think as supporters we should know what the deal is rather than batting away questions on the subject with "I've no problem with Darren" which is obviously not true.

As I said on the Bent thread, "I've said more than once that there may well be something we don't know. The fact he's not making the bench makes me think that can be the only reason."

We will create few clearcut chances and look clueless in the last third. If we score more than one, it wil be because Reading are crap. If we are one up with 30 minutes to go, we will retreat further and further towards our own goal and Reading will score. In short, what is the difference from last season, really? Only (diminishing) hope.

According to lambert there's no problem with bent which makes it seem ridiculous, he keeps saying there's no rift and then not picking him .

If there is an issue of some kind with Bent i'd prefer Lambert to keep it behind closed doors. 1) I don't want us washing our dirty laundry in public 2) if Bent is acting like a complete knobber it's hardly going to help us get maximum value by telling the world.
