Lambert nearly cost us by refusing to bring on fresh legs. Another limp, spineless display by Ireland, don't want to see the overpaid, burnt out player in a villa shirt again. The last minute winner was even sweeter seeing that prick Di Canio acting up on the pitch after the whistle. God I was glad it didn't go into extra time, it was fukin freezing.Ireland set-up the first and was lively throughout according to 5Live.He was fukin terrible. He also shirked countless tackles. Are you serious?Ireland set up the first AND played a lovely through ball to Gabby for the second. This shirking tackles nonsense is the same sort of thing we used to hear about Downing, even when he was consistently our best player.

Some real vitriol directed at him from a couple of Villa fans when he went off; all to do with his wages and flash cars. No comments on how he'd played (other than "you're effing s**t ireland, eff off") because, fact is, he was excellent last night. Some great runs down the channels, always looking for the ball and some really intelligent passing picking out the likes of Gabby and Benteke without even having to look up. It's also worth noting that in the first half, when under the cosh, he was fighting for every ball and acting as a good outlet going forward. Admittedly he tired a little in the second half but that's to be expected. On the whole a great performance from him and he simply has to play.
I don't think I even want Petrov to play for us competitively again, I just want to see him pull through this terrible illness and live out the rest of his life peacefully; away from the public eye. I have this image of his testimonial against Celtic in front of a Villa Park packed to the rafters within the next few years and I'd like to believe that will be it.
listening to various radio stations this morning and some of them didnt even mention our win yet before the match we were featured heavilly with lots of talk about us going out, they dont like us do they?
