The experienced players need to step up.
Just seen the goals on SSN. I confirm the rumours that Di Canio is indeed a twat.

Lambert nearly cost us by refusing to bring on fresh legs. Another limp, spineless display by Ireland, don't want to see the overpaid, burnt out player in a villa shirt again. The last minute winner was even sweeter seeing that prick Di Canio acting up on the pitch after the whistle. God I was glad it didn't go into extra time, it was fukin freezing.Ireland set-up the first and was lively throughout according to 5Live.He was fukin terrible. He also shirked countless tackles. Are you serious?

Very well taken goals (from both sides in fairness). This habit of going to sleep for periods during games suggests we lack a bit of leadership on the pitch - something to be addressed in January hopefully.

It'd be a shame if all managers/players did exactly what they 'should' do. It's for similar reasons that I don't mind Colin at Leeds.

I'm with you.It at least makes it all that bit more entertaining.

I thought he was having his best season for a long while when he was taken ill.I think Vlaar can develop into a good captain, but I also prefer there to be a vocal, leader-type in midfield, and if you look at the various combinations we've tried in the middle, none of them include that type of player.

Are you serious?Ireland set up the first AND played a lovely through ball to Gabby for the second. This shirking tackles nonsense is the same sort of thing we used to hear about Downing, even when he was consistently our best player.

He should be one of the first names on our team sheet every week, we're a better side with him in it.
Sadly I think the only way we will see him play for us again is in a testimonial.
