Bent to Stoke makes sense to me. They have money, they need a striker, we need money, hopefully we can make it work at the last minute. Bent against Newcastle should have been the latest in a long line of proofs that he is just not right for us.
I reckon he'd have got a couple in the second half yesterday. Lambert system is utter shit not Bent

Lambert's first half system was bollocks, but the change of system was only as important as bringing on Weimann, who works harder and can just do more on the pitch. Bent was disinterested and poor yesterday, and give me Weimann any day over that.
I think we are both barking on the same hymnsheet, or something like that.

This is PWS reporting from BH. Breaking news, we may sign someone before the transfer window closes. We might even sign more than one player. Although there is also the chance we won't sign anyone. We might also sell someone, but then again we may not.

Now we go back to SSN for more shots of 'Arry Redknapp poking his head through a car window more often than a Balsall Heath hooker.

P.s. Can I have my Pulitzer now please?

Do they still have hookers in Balsall Heath? I think you're about 20 years out of date.

No idea, since I let my subscription to Prossie Monthly lapse i've not kept up to date with such things.

Well such shoddy research and choice of out of date clichés has blown your Pulitzer chances I'm afraid, Mr Shin. ;¬)

Aye. Weimann is fast becoming my favourite player. I love Benteke, but you get the feeling he will outgrow us (even if we stay up and improve next season) and move on to better things. Weimann I can see going on to become a club legend.

Bent can fuck off

All sentiments I agree with. Gabby is looking better in league games as a winger as well, I just wish he'd cut inside and shoot more because he can actually rifle them.

"Villa fans can sniff danger a mile off.  As we knew with the appointment of Alex McLeish, we know when our club is in trouble. The club should make use of our radar. 24 hours to act."

Just let go. On Radio 3 there is choral evensong from Aldeburgh Parish Church.

Harry Redknapp has put a Bid in for Thomas Tallis

Benteke and Weimann are quite capable of scoring a hatful for us if we give them the ammunition. It's the tiny, weedy midfield and the panicky, ball-watching defence that's the problem.

So I simply refuse to believe these Kenywyne Jones rumours, on the basis that nobody could be THAT stupid.

I'm glad Depeche Mode's new single has come out, as that has taken me away from the depressing news surrounding the Villa

My worry selling bent is what if benteke gets a bad injury?

Maybe so, but if it allows us to sign a good midfielder then we have to take the risk, because we don't have a proper midfield even if everyone is fully fit.

I don't think Jones is coming.

I think Crouch is off to QPR, and Bent will be replacing him at Stoke. Can't see them selling both Crouch and Jones.

If Benteke gets a bad injury then we are fucked whether Bent is here or not.
