Quick which midfielders for everton are get able now they make a signing !?

I wouldn't say no to Phil Neville on a short term contract.

Somewhat encouraging. Now... don't tell me, show me?

Indeed, actions now need to follow. However that has made it crsytal clear that money is available. It's up to Lambert to use it now.

Finally ... Tell that to lambshank!

That statement tells us no more than we already knew. Lambert has said there is some money- Sky have put spin on this and are reporting it as no money. Lambert actually said:- "But if you are asking me if there will be a vast amount of money available during the rest of the transfer window, there won't be." Randy Lerners statement does not expand on that either way. None of us know what the budget is or what constraints there might be, unless some of us are getting PMs from Randy. What I do know is that Sky repeating 'Aston Villa- no money' all day is doing nothing to promote the club in a positive light. I might turn it off and get off the sofa! I could have used my day off more constructively!

These are not the midfielders you are looking for.

Take what sky say with a pinch of salt -they will be quick enough to report new signings .
Lets blow newcastle away and get in three decent signings then stick it to those toffees.
People slag lerner off for not speaking and then when he makes a statement they slag him off again .
No pleasing  some people.

Seems Spurs have captured the midfieder they were after.  Huddlestone on loan until the end of the season would be a step in the right direction for me.

I can take Sky anyway I want, but it is a major media outlet and right now it is not helping our club. I have not slagged Lerner off, by the way.

Would be a good addition as long as he  stays fit .

Suggested him a while back, i think he would be prefect for leadership and experience , 18 month contract would be ideal signing .
Versatile too, would be available for about £1.5m and maybe see this as a challenge .

Ah, the old Michael Owen argument.

Huddlestone can pass, tackle and score goals, a big strong player , only worry is his fitness - we dont want another jenas situation - but worth the risk i suppose in our situation.

Yes someone like Phil Neville would be good, he's someone who's been there, seen it, don....well, been there and seen it anyway.

Huddlestone's a no for me. I'm not sure he's what we need. We need someone who's going to have a mouth on him and get the players going and i'm not sure he'll do that.

Phil Neville is the right idea but i can't see him wanting to leave Everton where he gets picked most weeks.
