Good bye Prem league who knows when we will see you again ...
AVFC officially the most gutless spineless board in football.Hang you heads in shame
"Henry Winter @henrywinter
Lambert has talked to Lerner about reinforcing #avfc. 'We don't just talk about the weather. In an ideal world, I'd love to get players in.'"
He's asked for backing but would appear to be getting none.
Well like I said, if that's the case then Lerner is a fucking idiot and the entire board are moronic as well. You can't just cost cut, your business will collapse. This is the inevitable result of dreadful ownership for the last few years.
I really don't understand what Lerner is getting out of all this, if he is in it for the money then he's going to be well out of pocket come May when we're relegated.
Did Lambert really say no one is coming in at the presser today??
According to Pat Murphy, yes it looks that way.
I remember Harry Redknapp saying categorically that Spurs had concluded all transfer business and there was going to be no more activity from Spurs on a transfer deadline day to sky sports news, an hour later they signed Van Der Vaart. Don't believe a word of it, likely that if Bent, Warnock or someone else gets transferred it might trigger a chain of activity. Can't believe PL is sitting on his hands not speaking to agents every day and trying to put deals together.
I'd be surprised if no-one at all came in as well.
I don't think Lerner has many backers left.
He is leading us to ruin.
I have flights and tickets for the West Ham game and I am actually dreading it. I am bringing over my dad and I can't see it being anything other than a disastrous afternoon.
They are convinced that we will stay up and once we do, this young team will grow in strength and achieve Everton like heights. We know it’s flawed, I suspect Lambert knows its flawed too, but for reason known only to Lerner and Faulkner, they don’t see it that way.
With policies like this, we really do deserve the drop.
Bollocks to it all indeed.
Even if this turns out to be an elaborate bluff, I will find it hard to forgive them for making me feel this hopeless.
I believe its only Newcastle in worst form that us and they have just brought 5 players ..QPR have gotten another player today and after another CB.
It's not just adding to squad in terms of talent its the boost a squad will get from new players coming in that we are going to miss out on.
can't believe Lambert and the Villa are doing nothing to get players in....but the silence is deafening.

The reason is they're fucking idiots who know nothing about football, which frankly is remarkable having been involved with it for a few years now. Their decision have ranged from naive to idiotic and now to negligent. They're ruining this club. As Damon says as well, they have left the majority of fans with no hope left.
Even if this turns out to be an elaborate bluff, I will find it hard to forgive them for making me feel this hopeless.
I'd have thought that you felt hopeless quite a lot of the time Damon!

Thing is, he probably doesn't think we'll be going down. Lambert's probably convinced him otherwise. You heard him -" I just do". If lambert came out and said "the chairman is more than happy to risk the millions the club will make next year for the sake of saving 10m now", he'd be out the door before the end of the day.......
Even if this turns out to be an elaborate bluff, I will find it hard to forgive them for making me feel this hopeless.
yeah I've got my wife for that
all is not lost, you can still get 11/10 on us to go down.
