I would think if we are clever, we could go to a european club and do a deal for their midfielder/winger for Bent and we can save money on wages bill. Like John Carew type deal.

Not saying we could get him but hypothetically offering Bent for Wesley Sneijder would be dreamland.

Given the name was mentioned earlier, David Villa would be a dream loan if he's available.

Him and Weimann playing off CB would be devastating, and it would a huge signal that we need to be taken seriously if we got someone like that.

Does he bring experience?

http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/swansea-city/transfer-talk/news/david-villa-to-join-swansea_60199.html

Good name fit though!

Is this a joke? Villa is one of the best strikers in the world. Have I missed something?
If he's due to leave Barcelona, why? and also, why wouldn't the biggest clubs in the world be lining up for him?

Swansea my arse.

He's also likely on a very steep six figure salary and would have the pick of a number of elite sides in Europe if made available. He isn't ending his career with us and certainly not Swansea. Like Raul, he has lots to offer and should he leavue I expect him to go and play in France or Germany.

Under normal circumstances I'd agree. But with the colossal new TV deal coming in even the likes of Swansea might be able to dwarf the salaries offered by some of the bigger French and German clubs.

It's mortgaging their future to a certain extent, but a well run club (which I believe they are)  could probably afford one mental deal.  It's when you've got 5/6 underperforming players on big wages (and some of them not even playing) that you get problems.

Not saying he'll go there, bit it isn't as ludicrous an idea as it once might have been.

Wesley Sneijder and cash for Alan Hutton seems fair.

It would have to be a big cash offer for us to lose Hutton.

I think it's fair to say if we got him in on loan and he did well it wouldn't be too difficult to get him here permanently unlike say Kyle Walker.
I don't think his future will be at Man City.

But I think it'll probably be one of those situations where he goes on loan, score 8-10 goals in the second half of a season and goes abroad for around £10m,. A Valencia, Hamburg, Atletico Madrid to replace Falcao, Fiorentina et cetera.

I don't think he'll be one to stick around in the Premier League.

Yeah could be similar to Rossi when he was at Man. United.

Hutton would be the type of maquee signing Inter need.

Hutton would fill the hole left by Maicon leaving

As cheltenhamlion says, it would have to be a big cash offer to lose Alan Hutton.

But we can afford it.

Oh yes - the Brazilian Cafu; the perfect replacement for Maicon.

I think that Cafu was the Brazilian Cafu.

Judging by the way he plays, Hutton has to be at least half Brazilian.

I always thought he was 100% Brazilian - a fanny with no hair
