Can we get a word filter for our former square jawed Geordie midfielder who took the money and ran North?  I'm frankly fed up of having to pointlessly read his name and at least a filter would give me some light relief for the first month or so.
If you mean James Milner, he's from Horsforth, Leeds. It's north, but not "a small town in Scotland".

Sorry long night and suffering post xmas party headthis am.  Still my point stands.  Pointless gibbering about former players is so last year, and this year and boring.

I don't want any former players back that asked to leave us.

Many of those who have left would have been happy to stay - but could not resist the silly money they were offered.

Some like Downing do not fall into that category but IMO Milner does, and so do a couple of others.

Wasn't M**ner pissed off with O'***** as he hadn't asked to leave, but O'***** had told the press that he had?

It reminds me of the Mrs Merton question to Debbie McGee, "so why did you marry multi millionaire Paul Daniels?".

"So James, why did you join the club with the wealthiest owner in European football?". He might have had issues with the manager but if Man City weren't sniffing around I'm sure he'd have been able to get on with things.

Does he bring experience?

Good name fit though!

Is this a joke? Villa is one of the best strikers in the world. Have I missed something?
If he's due to leave Barcelona, why? and also, why wouldn't the biggest clubs in the world be lining up for him?

Swansea my arse.

He's also likely on a very steep six figure salary and would have the pick of a number of elite sides in Europe if made available. He isn't ending his career with us and certainly not Swansea. Like Raul, he has lots to offer and should he leavue I expect him to go and play in France or Germany.

For me, there's a big difference between leaving and asking to leave.

I think it may just be a fanciful (and tenuous) connection due to Laudrup being their manager.
Not too dissimilar to the Benzema rumours when Houllier was here.

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert could make a cheeky £2million bid for Crystal Palace striker Glenn Murray. (The Sun)

Aston Villa will have to battle it out with Sunderland to sign Manchester City striker John Guidetti, 20, on loan for the rest of the season. (Daily Telegraph)

Don't really want to develop any of Man Shitty's prospects for them.

Its possible they put him on a new contract to get the most money for him. I'm not sure I can see Man City having the patience to let a youngster develop any more and if their plan is to loan him out to develop then I suggest we dont partake.
Really would like to sign him permanently though.
