I don't want any former players back that asked to leave us.
Wasn't M**ner pissed off with O'***** as he hadn't asked to leave, but O'***** had told the press that he had?

A certain poster on this site hinted that Milner was pissed off with O'***** but was looking for a transfer late in April/early May well before the press report. But I wouldn't say he hadn't already been tapped up by Barry whilst on England duty.

Can anyone really see Guidetti getting a sniff at City with Aguero, Dzeko, Tevez and Balotelli all there?

If Balotelli leaves in January, they'll just get in Llorente, Falcao or whoever to replace him rather than promote Guidetti.

I think it's fair to say if we got him in on loan and he did well it wouldn't be too difficult to get him here permanently unlike say Kyle Walker.

I don't think his future will be at Man City.

But I think it'll probably be one of those situations where he goes on loan, score 8-10 goals in the second half of a season and goes abroad for around £10m,. A Valencia, Hamburg, Atletico Madrid to replace Falcao, Fiorentina et cetera.

I don't think he'll be one to stick around in the Premier League.

Can we get a word filter for our former square jawed Yorkshire midfielder who took the money and ran North?  I'm frankly fed up of having to pointlessly read his name and at least a filter would give me some light relief for the first month or so.

Agreed. Lee Evan's nephew has moved on from us, 'bout time we did the same.

Chris Wood is an interesting one. Wherever he's gone on loan he's scored goals. There's an half decent striker there who might be worth a gamble on.

Will be interesting to see if there is any foreign onlookers at the Spurs game.  With the european leagues closing for the winter break it would be an opportune time to show any prospective signings around Bodymoor Heath and VP.

Latest from nursey-

@JamesNursey: Told #AVFC do not have a specific policy or plan to sell Darren Bent this January BUT would cash in on him if they get a decent offer

I just have this strange feeling he will not go until the Summer - who will buy him now Liverpool are sorted for a striker?
Newcastle - Nope; QPR - back with 'Arry? - nope; Everton - no money; Martinoneilssunnerlan? Nope.

Bent would be ideal for Chelsk.Different style of football, they nned a finisher, we require a more all-rounder.Arse would'nt be that bad a move either.

Chelsea is not a bad shout actually.  For them, it's not much money and I suspect Bent would be quite happy being part of a bigger squad and not necessarily playing every week.

Bent would score shitloads of goals for arsenal.

Never happen, in my opinion.  The only striker Wenger has signed who was similar to Bent was Franny Jeffers and we all know how that turned out.  Bent is just not an Arsenal type striker.

I'm a big fan of Torres but Bent would have put away the majority of the chances he's missed whilst he's been at Chelsea.

As for Bent, i think he'll be here until the end of the season personally.

I would think if we are clever, we could go to a european club and do a deal for their midfielder/winger for Bent and we can save money on wages bill. Like John Carew type deal.
