Arguably our best five players are new signings, so bring it on.

How Swansea got Michu, considering he had a good scoring record in Spain, for 2 million is beyond me, but he was a snip and fair play to them.
Vallecano (like most of Spanish football) were massively in debt and he only had a year left on his contract.

As for the player himself, he's probably just pleased that he's at a team where he's actually going to be given his wages each month.

Yep,not a big enough player for the two big spanish teams, and the rest of the them can't match English wages. Shame it seems only Laudrup had only knowledge of him.  Speaking of Swansea,id love to see if we could tempt them with a bid for Dyer. Played yesterday, but has been in and out this season, really intelligent player, quick, would work really well on the right.

I like Dyer, but I think Swansea would ask too much for him and in turn Dyer would want his weight in gold for wages.
Good player but I do not think we'd get good value for money out of him.

If he was a leader and talismanic character then I could understand it but I'm not sure Dyer is either of those things.

I read that Sinclair might be available for loan.  Sinclair and Fringpong could be a budget solution to our problems.

I think this summer for once we can say we got a few real bargains thankfully. Diame was an obvious one, that a lot of us on here wanted, and what he brings apart from a lot of skill is a great deal of physicality that we lack badly in our midfield IMO. None of our lads are big strapping people who can really stamp themselves on a game. One of those and an amalgamation of Holman and Ireland and we would be a very decent side. The advanced midfield positions in front of Westwood are where we need 4 better players than we have, although I hold out a little hope that NZogbia can yet be saved.

How Swansea got Michu, considering he had a good scoring record in Spain, for 2 million is beyond me, but he was a snip and fair play to them.
I don't - and never have - hold out much hope of a resurgent N'Zog. It'd be great to be wrong but I just don't see enough enthusiasm, energy and desire in his play.

Far from shooting you I think that's interesting. What kinds of players are they?

Will Hughes is one of the most highly rated youngsters in the country, he is a midfielder and all the top teams are after him

Yep heard of Hughes, but I think we need quality experience in the immediate term.

Actually, I think what we're really lacking is some spark in the final third. If that's what he'd provide, then I'm all for it.

Can't we just give Sammy Carruthers a proper go instead?

We can do both. Carruthers does look very talented.

He scored a decent goal in the U21 game earlier apparantley. I think we've got a decent player in Drennan as well.

I've seen Will Hughes when he played for England Under 21's. He's still only 17 but looks like a very tidy player. As someone has said, I think he's on just about every Premier League team's radar.
