Dalian signed for us 29 years ago today.

Dalian and Bosnich were both great in our cup winning run in 1994. I always thought Deano was a good influence on Dalian. They were a good partnership.

Probably my all time two favourite Villa players.

Same. Good times, those two up front were such a good partnership. I still rate Bozzie as one of the best I’ve ever seen in goal.

I wonder what social media would have made of what Boz did at White Hart Lane.... ?

Oh yes, it would be world news now. I was only 14 at the time, but I remember our tutor group at high school having a meeting about it. Me and two other Villa fans sat there not really knowing what to say, but feeling the eyes of the rest of our group on us!

Best goalkeeper ever for me, Bozzie.

I see that due to coronavirus restrictions the case is now pushed back to April 2021.
I see that it will be at Birmingham Crown Court.

Bozzie was best Villa keeper I have seen. He was on way to being one of the best in the world whilst with us in my opinion. I met him once at Dwight Yorke's birthday party (my cousin lived next  door to Yorke in Shustoke)
and he was a nice guy. I think he got big headed with the move to United. Roy Keane wrote in his autobiography that Bosnich rocked up late for his first day of training at United and cockily tried to brazen it out instead of apologising. Not a good idea when you are technically the new kid on the block and your team mates have just won the treble. I knew a guy in Tenerife who knew Bosnich well and apparently he used to like to party and consume things associated with partying. Bosnich actually injured himself jumping from one balcony to another in Tenerife whilst on holiday with Yorke.

He was goalie you'd pay money to watch, and there haven't been many of them down the years.

Exactly. Made the impossible seem possible when he was in net.

There was a save against Liverpool which was absolutely superhuman.  I've never to this day seen a keeper fly so far and so high to save a shot going into the top corner.  Astonishing.

There was the cup-tie v. Cov where he fly-hacked a deflected shot to safety. The crowd applauded the save for a full minute afterwards.

Four year ago today, and still the full story isn't known. RIP Dalian.

So sad isn’t it? You wonder how long it’s going to take.

The Court case is next year. It’s a relatively straight forward story, which for obvious reasons I cant post on here.

Unfortunately, his 50p feet didn't take too well to the back pass rule!

He couldn't kick a ball to save his life could he? Having said that neither could Steve Sims and he was an outfield player who in the first half of our promotion season in 1987 took all of the free kicks we got deep in our own half. Home and away you could guarantee that from a free kick he would kick the ball out of play and then quizzically examine his boot to find out how and why it had let him down.

Ken McNaught did the same for six years.
