Must be a great feeling when you answer the phone and it's Villa wanting to speak to you.

Depends if you're a footballer or a lapsed season- ticket holder.

Welcome to the Villa Matt, great to see the manager strengthening the weakest areas of the team almost immediately.

I'm in fucking love with you, Paul.

I was watching some of the AVTV stuff yesterday. Now we all know Jack Woodward is a bit of a jovial penis. How he's kept his job is really beyond me. There was one clip where he said to Lambert that he was like a headmaster or something with the kids coming back. Ha fucking ha, typical shit joke by Woodward. There was next to no reaction from Lambert because he was probably thinking what we all do that, "you are meaningless scrote Woodward and you are wasting my life". I like Lambert even more then because he gave me the impression that he had work to do and this pimple was taking him away from that.

He won't make many friends in the press this season and I'm fine with that.

As a player, he always struck me as someone who wasn't phenomenally talented, so had to work really hard at his game, both on and off the pitch, to have the playing career he had.  And I think it's that sort of work ethic and attitude that is a great trait in a manager and will rub of well on our players, especially the younger ones!

I noticed that in the last couple of days that a couple of the interviews were not done by "Our Jack" that an Irish sounding guy is doing some - and I agree the look an Lamberts face with him trying to interview him was funny , I think he will have to up his game to hang around too long (Jack that is !!)
