It shows how shit Hutton must be that we're happy with a 3rd division right back. Not knocking the signing at all by the way, I trust Lambert's judgement and expect Lowton and Lihaj to have a good old battle at RB next season. Welcome to the greatest club in the world Matthew

Yes Hutton's shit but I also think the club have lost faith in him. He also represents a lot of what was bad about last year and I'm convinced that they want shot of him to make a fresh start. I think Warnock will also go along with one of Collins or Dunne. My money is on Collins.

Well, no one had heard of Kyle walker when GH signed him and he's an international now so let's give him time to make his mark. Just need a couple more down the spine now and we'll be ok.

"An attacking wing back..."  3-5-2???  Mmmmmm Brian Little revisited.

Leap of logic there. Consider that the three would be Dunne, Collins and a kid. 0-2 down after 20 minutes in every game was the way Derby approached the FAPL.

I think Walker was more well known, but this kid has hardly broken the bank, the deal according to his brother on twitter after a few drink last night is nowhere near the 3m reported, so hopefully has been a bit of a bargain.

Can't help thinking he looks a bit like Mark Delaney.

Kyle Walker is a fantastic player for me, had already been subject to a transfer of several million pounds. He was probably the best player in the championship and was still under 21.

There's nothing to suggest this guy's in the same class. I'd never heard of him, so can't really comment. But I'd be a bit surprised if he went straight into the side from two divisions below. You never know though.

Just saying that there were dozens of posters mocking GH for signing KW on loan stating: why do we want some Spurs reserve who's playing on loan in the Championship? It turned out pretty well despite many people not knowing too much about Walker. There's been plenty of players in recent years that have done ok in the PL after playing in lower leagues, just look at last year's promoted teams.

I've been told Lowton is quite quick, so not sure where this pace issue has come from.

Pretty sure he's going to be a squad player, especially considering that his versatility allows him to play across the entire defence and in holding midfield. Not a bad thing at all though, our squad got ridiculously thin towards the end of last season.

Our scouting network is clearly improving.  We would never have signed a player from such a far away land under MON.

Yes, quite. Lets not allow the fact that we've also signed two players from abroad get in the way of a good whinge.
