One thing is for sure, even if we don't land OGS our hatred of Wheelan has been upped a notch or two.

If he's not careful he could even surpass Gold.

Help me catch up.  What has he said now?

He's been like Tumnus for the past few weeks minus the helicopter.

Disrespecting our club on more than one occasion too.

the fella's just fighting his corner, playing the big clubs for twats, and in our case getting the better of us last term,
he's a wiley old git, but ultimatley harmless, dont understand the hatred towards him at all

I think it's his lack of respect for us, thinking we're too small time for his Manager. He was the same last summer over the N'Zogbia transfer - as I said earlier...he's a prick. Faulkner is useless with the media and these cheap shots should be countered - what use is the General these days? for a board member, his involvement appears to be zero. When was the last time he attended a match at Villa Park?

we dont like him because he got the better of us,
well i have respect if someone a lot smaller fights his own corner and comes out on top,
we need to man up and accept that some people wont cow tow to the bigger boy in the playground and scrap ike a wild dog.

he's on sky sports every 10 minuets, probably causing no end of problems to Liverpool and even Martinez, then he probably goes home puts his feet up and laughs at the lot of them, he's playing the game like a good un, and winning mostly

He's in the Holloway chip on the shoulder mould. He owns a small time club who'll never get anywhere in the Premier League and hopefully when the players out of contract and RM have gone they'll sink out of trace and end up like MK Dons! Can't stand the bloke - for the third time....he's a prick!!

Whelan is a sickly old bell end and the only reason he isn't put in his place in the meda is because he's irrelevant.

gave us the runaround though, not bad for a 'sickly old bell end'

He's a big-mouthed, full-of-himself knob trying to sell off his manager to the highest bidder under the guise of someone that gives a shit! Can't wait to see who they get next after Roberto goes, though I don't believe he'll be going to Liverpoo somehow!

How did he get the better of us, tell me?

He new all along that Martinez was going to stay with Wigan last season.  We went through the proper channels in our approach and were told by Martinez he was staying put in the same way that Rodgers is not talking to Liverpool today.

Wheelan then spins it that Martinez took his time to make his decision to make him look good and us look bad.

And what's the point of playing a game as you say?  He's the owner of a premier club and should act in a respectful and dignified manner not whoring himself to Sky at every oppertunity to spout bollocks.  The attention seeking twat can fuck off and take his piss pot club with him.

If Solskjær gets the job, which sick note, ex-England, out of contract striker do you think he'll sign first?

If we get him on the right terms I'd love to see Owen at the Villa.  Might teach Gabby a thing or two

I'd take Owen without question.  I also hope OGS would give Gabby a boot up the arse or move him out.

I reckon OGS would get the most out of Gabby, put some confidence and belief back into his game that has been clearly lacking for last two seasons. He might even teach how to read the game better from the bench, having more of an impact in matches.

But nobody on here had even mentioned OGS as a potential manager until yesterday. Now we all seem to be experts on his management potential.

Has anyone ( other than watching a youtube clip) actually followed his career to date? seriously, can anyone tell me what he's like as a manager without re-hashing other peoples' views?

I'm guessing that nobody on here even knew which club he was managing until they checked yesterday?

Very risky if you ask me

I tend to agree.

I don't think we should get carried away. We've been here before.

This might sound strange coming from me, but can't we just get carried away and enjoy it a teensy bit?  If we're bottom at Christmas then I promise to revert to misery arse mode, but until then can't we just dream about what might be?

No problem with whelan-  a wily old fox protecting his interests! Fair play he did say this week aston villa is a very big job and hatred is far strong a feeling to have against him.

I agree and let's face facts he has a better record picking the right manager at the right time for Wigan than either of chariman have been in the last decade. Much better.

I hope the OSG punt works out if that is what transpires - it is not an easy job. 2 wasted years, 2 wretched appointments.

I see reo-coker has activated a release clause at bolton- there could be a few decent players about from the relegated sides, hoilett, jarvis etc for young ogs to look at, he will need to wheel and deal like delboy and hopefully we have a much changed squad by august.

I will save my excitement for:
a) When he is appointed
b) The Press conference
3) His first moves in the transfer market
and F) The first game of the season.

Up until then I shall remain stoic.

I'm sure he's angling after the Manure job, but he'll have to prove himself first, and that means winning things, so I am more than happy for him to do that with us.

If his successful with us I think he will stay with us. Fergie has made it hard for any incoming manager at Manure. Hard  to follow a club legend.
