Well whilst a point is welcome I still can't see where a win will come from in the last two games. I think we are relying on other games, even though we're not, if you know what I mean.

Nice to hear the confidence of the albion fans on the Metro on the way back......and when we stay up it would be a good time to fill our collective boots on finishing above them next year.

I would even now only take one member of their staff in exchange for a Villa person. That would be the manager, none of their players would get into our team.

Olssen, Odemwingie (more goals than Gab and Emile combined), Mulumbu (could get in our CM easy at the moment and he's average), Foster maybe (Given's been good, Fosters been excellent this season), Ridgewe...just kidding.
But yeah, we should be finishing higher than a team with their squad. The sad part was that in some spells they played football we could only dream of...and it wasn't even that impressive on the eye. Hell, 5 passes strung together is something we can only dream of these days.

Watching the highlights on MotD and it's clear that our forwards have no confidence to apply a decisive finish when clearly in positions where scoring is easier than missing or getting a save out of the goalkeeper. N'Zogiba twice, Heskey and Agbonlahor many times were guilty of that.

This is the most worrying aspect of our team at the moment. It means that coupled with noddy tactics and an uncertain defence we will not win any of the two remaining matches.
Our survival is in the hands of others.

I thought Albion played some nice stuff as well, I think it was two very well matched teams. Our worst season in donkeys years and their best.

Sorry chaps I should know this but who was that bloke next to K Mac?  Apparently McCleish went straight to him in the tunnel before the game started.  Seemed slightly familiar but I cant put a name to him.

As a positive, the narrow line up, as much as I don't like it, did stifle the Boggies.

So it was a decent game plan. Picking Heskey, not Weimann. Choosing a narrow line-up, stifle the opposition and battle through to an away point. It's not the actions of a manager that's completely useless and out of his depth.

It's just not the kind of expertise Villa are looking for in a manager when we're playing WBA.

Mulumbu (could get in our CM easy at the moment and he's average),
[/quote]

I'm not sure if it was a poor game for him, but I thought he was the worst player on the pitch (Unless you actually bother to include emile)
