His 'experience and leadership' has delivered us a 0-0 draw against West Brom.

Although it's technically 'in our hands', aour fate will be influenced far more by other games
How so?

If we will all of our games we stay up- unles those behind us win all of their games by an improbably big margin.

It is on our hands.

It's because we won't win those games, we're reliant on others not to win.

It is still in our hands - because we can.

In theory it is, but in reality we won't so it isn't.

Now it is likely that our new season is not in our hand but it is in other top club hand. Largely disappoint. McLeish Out!!!!

Absolutely. Needed to win today. Fair play for staying up late to watch this shower!

Taken from bbc website:

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish: "I have had to show my experience and leadership and that has come to the fore. I will not curl up and die. I will persevere to the end as I always have done."

He has shown his experience and leadership, and they were both found wonting. The guy is deluded.

Why drop the only forward who has managed to score this year?

Well I think we should praise McLeish. It took 7 defenders to start the game to get a clean sheet. A record surely?

Well, the Guardian match report makes no mention of our two handball claims ...

Well it's bollocks but if that doesn't sound like a man on his way out of the club I don't know what does. 'I will persevere to the end' says it all.

Alex sounds tired and weary. But he will keep right on to the end of the road, I'm sure.

The only reason you don't like him is because he came from the Blues.

I actually feel sorry for him. But it's between us and the players now.
