I thought it was a solid effort overall and a draw was fair on both teams. They can moan all they like about Hutton's handball but I thought Olsson blocked Clark's shot at goal with his arm.

I can see QPR getting something tomorrow,Bolton winning their game in hand,we're still in this. May just need another point, hopefully our goal difference will work in our favour.

Martinez must be glad he didn't come to B6. It looks like Wigan will overtake us.

That is a rather paradoxical statement.  If Martinez HAD come to Villa then both Wigan's and Villa's seasons would have been in some way different.  Not to say that we would have faired better or worse than we have under McLeish, just that it would be a totally different set of circumstances.

I am worried that Man City will fail against QPR, losing the title.

1 more point should do it. Hopefully.

I'm not going to rest easy unless QPR and Bolton lose their games in hand. Come on Chelsea and Spurs.

There was good shape and vibrancy early on but things seemed to fizz out towards the end. Not a bad little bottle of Champagne to watch us win a nil-nil draw with.
Oh and goal difference is shrinking

 Goal difference isn't the concern.

Don't entirely agree. It is a bit tight with QPR, and could make the crucial difference between whether they need one more win, or one more win and a draw, more than us.

If Blakburn lose tomorrow they'll be six points behind with two to play and a much worse GD which makes one team who really can't catch us.

If QPR lose against Chelsea, they'll be 3 points behind, two to play but last one away at Man City.

So really we need Spurs and Chelsea to win tomorrow, and Man City to beat United on Monday night to keep the title race open.

Exactly. I think that point today will save us.

Hopefully Spurs are fine for their next two games then get knackered by next week. That'd suit me down to the ground, we might grind out a 0-0 then.

I honestly thought Cammie Fraser was the worst right back I would ever see in a Villa shirt.

Hutton has just taken that title away from him!.....in style.

A four goal gap is big at this stage of the season. Unless we get well beaten in our last two games QPR will have to win games to bridge the gap in goal difference let alone points.

He'd have been much more creative and would have got the best out of N'Zogbia who was immense for them at the end of last season.

I am not sure I have seen a worse right back than Hutton, he is shocking

Agree, bet he plays him against Spurs and Norwich though.Woeful defender.

Although it's technically 'in our hands', aour fate will be influenced far more by other games
