Hopefully we can nick a 0-0 win against Spurs next week given their poor form.  As for today, all I can say is thank fuck we didn't lose.  Oh and Mark Clattenberg really is a shit ref.

I think we'll stay up now. We may well not need any more points.
I'm not sure you can claim that, can you? - if BBurn win tomorrow it's all up for grabs.
They have a game in hand, we could be seriously fucked if they get a win or two.

Not so much worried about Blackburn as I am about Bolton. Their next two games, both at home are very winnable. They'll take a lot of heart this week from beating us and then avoiding defeat today.

I thought there were some good things from that match: the good form of Clark, Eric and Herd; the instinctive defending of Carlos; the early-game shape. I also thought Warnock did a shift, and some, up and down the left.

Disappointments? - Gabby's continuing poor form; Hutton's general play and demeanour; the lack of plan B from McL (he could have been much more dynamic with his substitutions).

As many on the match thread said, AM's demeanour suggests he's already had his "coming to Jesus" conversation with RL.

Please just get rid of McLeish, just as well try with no manager. I really think we need a win to be safe (or 2 draws)

I looked at half-time
I looked at full-time
Don't want to think about football until next Sunday (we are going underground during the match!)

Hutton. Fuck me the man is the worst footballer in the league. What a donkey's camel spawn he is.

Great description for him, he really is shit.

What a deliberate handball by Hutton...and the ref didn't see a thing...Classic.

I'm not confident that we'll be able to keep Bolton below us. Their run-in is relatively easy: Spurs (H), WBA (H), Stoke (A).

Our best bet is keeping QPR and Blackburn below us, as they have the most difficult run-ins, and I think we'll manage that. Wigan will probably finish above us.

They can't go to Spurs and win. They just can't. All these shit teams beating top 6 clubs. It can't keep happening. I'm aware I'm trying to convince myself here.

If Blakburn lose tomorrow they'll be six points behind with two to play and a much worse GD which makes one team who really can't catch us.

If QPR lose against Chelsea, they'll be 3 points behind, two to play but last one away at Man City.

So really we need Spurs and Chelsea to win tomorrow, and Man City to beat United on Monday night to keep the title race open.

You want to be grateful he didnt give a penalty for Huttons obvious handball and a sending off for two yellows!  How the linesman missed that Ill never know.

Good Result.

Played OK at times, apart from the finishing. Cuellar, Dunne and Given MotM.  Safer now than at the start of the day, mainly due to there only being 2 or 3 games left. Support sounded brilliant on the streams / radio.  Pat Murphy again deeply bitter that Albion didn't teach us a lesson.
