I respect him for staying in the dugout. If he'd come out, he'd have copped a load of shit and it might have affected the players. So fair play.
Well you are nearly right.
If he'd have said that was the reason he stayed in the dugout. If he'd have said it was expedient to keep a low profile given the feelings of the fans, and maybe it was best not to inflame the situation and not have that transmitted to the players, then yes, that would deserve some respect.
But what he has actually done has assumed that the fans are imbeciles. He assumes that any old guff he spouts is beliveable.
Frankly, the bloke is a deluded twat.

Thing is if he'd done that you can guarantee that a) some fans would have labelled him a coward, and b) we as fans would have got shit from the media for getting on his and the teams back to such a degree that he couldn't even do his job properly. Yes I know there are plenty of jokes about the last bit but you know what I mean.

Thing is though Damon, he's also expected to do his job. I'm not in any way saying that personal abuse is right. It isn't. But he still has to do a job and block out what he's being hurled at him. It's not easy, and while I don't condone what is being said by some sections a lot of it has been brought by his own words and actions.

He could have sat in the stands with an iPad 4 and a big fuck-off Bluetooth earpiece and everybody would have thought he was state of the art (or Fat Sam). It certainly wouldn't have done us any harm.

I honestly thought Cammie Fraser was the worst right back I would ever see in a Villa shirt.

Hutton has just taken that title away from him!.....in style.

This, Hutton is dreadful!

Are we setting the record for this phrase on MOTD in a single season? "Our last match of the night features Aston Villa"

Meat-brain Hutton. The ball was going straight to Given anyway.

Dropping Hutton would improve our chances of survival.  He is a shocking excuse for a footballer.

I'm surprised they even bother putting us on. They may as well just say, "the other game of the day featured xxxxx and Aston Villanil. It's too boring to show so we'll just play the test screen for 5 minutes. At least it has some colour"

Hutton is a scum sucking pile of shit.

How far have we fucking sunk to have him in the side, makes me pine for De La cruz.

he is the sort of player Blose would have bought last season , oh yeah right , now I get it  ;P

To be fair, they did have to allow time to fawn over Luis Suarez. The analysis of him shaking the official's hands was fascinating viewing.

I think from Mc Shit head's quote, we really are missing the point. "It was a bit of a chore".
No you useless ginger shit head, watching our beloved Aston Villa has now become a chore under you and we don't get paid a couple of million a year to do it, in fact we pay for the "chore'.
If he was afraid to come out of the dug out yesterday, if we go down in the first 5 mins against Spuds, I suggest he gets a satellite link set up at the Sty and watches the game from there.
Gabby is a perfect summary of what that twat has done to our club, attitude gone, confidence gone, would be lucky to score in a brothel and suddenly are best forward is Heskey.
Man of the Match yesterday, every single Villa fan who sang their hearts out and maybe there is the choice, we may go, but we wont go quietly.
