I'm pretty relaxed about the situation. I may come out of the wardrobe some time next week

Don't forget to take the orange out of your mouth.

There is no scenario where Man City are out of the title chase.

But there is a scenario whereby ManU could be by the last day, which is just as worrying.

Why?

ManC win on Saturday and ManU lose. The title race is over then, and City can take it easy on the last day and concentrate on the celebrations.

Very unlikey Man Utd will lose and even in that scenario, as Risso has said, Man City are more likely to play fringe players who would still give QPR a bollocking in a carnival atmosphere.
Just because you NEED to win a game doesnt mean you play better. In fact, quite often the opposite is true.

Pressure.

Man City showed their metal in the derby on Monday - that was an extreme pressure situation and I thought they handled it very well. I fully expect them to beat Newcastle on Sunday - they'll be well fired up and have the quality to come through it. For me, Man City will win the title by thrashing QPR by 4 or 5 goals.

Man City will beat QPR, whatever the Newcastle result it goes down to the last game which means at home they'll dick QPR.
QPR's game v Stoke is big, and Wigan v Bburn. Point v Spurs or Norwich SHOULD be enough for us

I expected Chelsea to beat Newcastle, but they didn't.

However, even if Man City lose and Man Utd beat Swansea, it's still only 3 points, so they need to beat QPR anyway to take it on goal difference should Man Utd slip up last game.

So either way, I just can't see QPR getting anymore than 3 points from Stoke.

If QPR do get more than 3 points from Stoke I'd be very surprised indeed.

I think that was his point.

If one of Bolton or QPR lose at the weekend we're safe. They're both shit so not beyond the realms etc.

Bookies have QPR and Bolton at evens and us at 20 to 1. Doesn't make me feel any better!

I agree it's so boring now, this seasons dead to me so I'm going to support Newcastle United  "Home of the Fantastic Geordies" fight for 3rd place in the league.

A point against Spurs for us, with Bolton losing yet again at home to the Baggies, with QPR being held to a 1-0 loss to stoke is not outside the realms of possibility.

Stick some cash on then if you are that convinced we are going down.
Or just give me a tenner.

I am vey confident we will not go down now, but I am not looking forward to the last day of the season if its still possible then. I think it will be Blackburn and QPR to join Wolves.

Beat Spurs and we will be fine but knowing us and that dreadful home form...two points from the final two games will do.

I'm struggling to see us get one point....I'm afraid....very afraid
and Man city to beat QPR ?......just like we failed to beat Oldham and finished second to............Manure.

Oh dear , we're all doomed ::)
