So nobody backs us to beat Norwich then?

more chance than against Spurs would be my view

I can imagine a bore draw against Spurs followed by a mad 2-2 against Norwich.

You've got the Hughes going back to City factor in play too.
I actually think we'll get at least a point from our last two and be OK now.
Still a load of old toss though!!

A bit like how Man U took it easy against Blackpool ?
ManC will want to win in front of their home support .

4-0 City it will be like a training match for them

or maybe like they did against West Ham a year earlier ?
What's the most likely though?

I still think we will avoid the drop but I will be very worried if City lose to Newcastle, United win this weekend and we lose. All three results are very probable.

City would still be in the title race, I agree, but it's out of their hands and stranger things have happened than it all going wrong for them on the final day against QPR who will almost certainly have to get a point out of that game to avoid going down.

Everyone seems to be forgetting the Norwich game as though we'll be beaten. Even in a crap season we've been hard to beat away from home. If we show the same application as the West Brom game we'll at least draw or even win against a Norwich team almost on holiday. I still think we can get at least a point against Spurs. Last night at 1-1 they were buckling against a poor Bolton team. The 2nd and 3rd goals were out of the blue.

I'm quite calm about the situation, it's going to take a pretty unlikely combination of results to see us go down.

I'm still not convinced QPR will beat Stoke.  I think we could lose this weekend and be safe bar a ridiculous goal difference swing on the last day.

I'm pretty relaxed about the situation. I may come out of the wardrobe some time next week

I really hope we are mathematically safe by the last game. Our record at Carrow Road is awful.

There is no scenario where Man City are out of the title chase.

But there is a scenario whereby ManU could be by the last day, which is just as worrying.

Why?

ManC win on Saturday and ManU lose. The title race is over then, and City can take it easy on the last day and concentrate on the celebrations.

Very unlikey Man Utd will lose and even in that scenario, as Risso has said, Man City are more likely to play fringe players who would still give QPR a bollocking in a carnival atmosphere.
Just because you NEED to win a game doesnt mean you play better. In fact, quite often the opposite is true.

Pressure.
