Randy Lerner should have taken a leaf out of the KLF's book, and just burnt £200m on a remote hilltop somewhere. The end result would have been the same, and we'd have been saved the indignation of having that failure McLeish anywhere near our club.

How the times have changed.they will change again, sometimes you need a fall to sort youselves out. as you may have realised in the last 3 years for your lot . People coming around to Mr Ashley then? Ashley is starting to win fans over but it's pardew and the squad that is getting the plaudits

How horribly prophetic of the General!
Can someone re-set the poll, please? I voted No before but now I think I need to change my vote.

How horribly prophetic of the General! It gets worse. On VillaTalk, after the appointment, he said "I think we can challenge for fourth".Many people, unsurprisingly, heaped ridicule on this, and he replied with "sorry, my finger slipped, meant to say fifth".As if the difference between fourth and fifth was what people were laughing at.I don't have any issues with the General personally, I'm sure he was acting in good faith when he was on here, but that sort of thing just shows how deeply clueless our leadership are.
