can't see it unless all 4 teams below us start exhibiting title form. The main thing now is we have to get points come what may. none of this attack attack attack shite. We all knew we were getting a manager who prefers defence despite his protestations, well like it or not we should go with it for the remaining games. If he'd done that tonite, we'd be safe the big ginger twat

I'm worried it may take more than 2 points.

Check you with yer new mod status. I dunno. As shite as Villa are, I just don't think B'burn and Bolton are any better. QPR have got to play Chelsea as well. Wigan's good run can't keep on going.

That was my thinking, but we've kept saying so and so aren't going to catch us as they have to play A, B and C and yet here we are, 3 games to go and they are all getting closer.

Wigan weren't going to catch us as they had Racist FC, Arse, Chavski away, Manure at home. If it hadn't been for some dodgy decisions at Chavski they'd have got at least 10 points from those games.

QPR aren't going to catch us as they have to play Spuds, Chavski and Citeh. They've already won 1 and Chavski have other things on their mind now and Citeh may have sod all to play for.

Bolton weren't going to catch us, especially as we had the home banker against them.

It's like a nightmare where every scenario that isn't going to happen keeps happening.

bottom line is still 2 points will do it.  mebbe one.

One more point for us would be enough should Blackburn lose away at Spurs and Chelsea, and QPR lose away at Chelsea and Man City. Surely we're due a break somewhere?

Thing is, 2 points puts us on 38. To finish above us QPR would need 5 points from 3 (maybe even 4 would do as their GD is close to ours), Wigan 5 points from 3 and Bolton 6 points from 4. Unlikely? I bloody hope so, but it's not exactly title form any of them need.

Seriously, how long have we said this sort of this and the opposite has happened.  Look at Wigan's results when they were already down according to some, same with QPR.

It's up to us now - we have to assume that others will get points between now and they end of the season.  Unless we go result for result with them we'll be down - that I think is the reality.  That means we'll need more than just 2 points i'm afraid.

I really think we'll lose on Tuesday and end up going down.

No we won't.

on paper anyway they've got harder games than us. as you say NOTHING is going right for us with other results and we are  seemingly doing everyhing in our power to take it to the last day, but i still think 38 points would do it. I'm more worried about actually getting 38 points if Mcleish persists in his current tactics

Did we not stay up on the last day a few years back by drawing at Norwich whilst Palace lost at Newcastle?  I may be be wrong but I seem to remember the Mags winning 3-1 and saving our arse.  Who have we got last day again?......

Actually, I knew we'd lose tonight but still think we'll stay up.  Just.

(Looks for a solid reason to be back that up.  But can't find one.)  :-\

We cannot win so have to stack the midfield with one upfront and go for three draws, we are pretty good at that.

We need minimum 2pts to be safe...unless QPR perform miracles and get 5pts out of their last 3 games. We may well find ourselves staying up on goal difference on the last game of the season.

I'm praying for a win against Baggies this weekend...let it be!

Yes, I mean no, or yes I mean yes.

I don't know, it just depends on the other teams fucking up as we can't rely on our own team to do it themselves.

Although technically it isn't, we are in the hands of the teams below us. We certainly won't win another game. The last 20 mins last night showed that no one is capable of grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and driving the team forward , we were reduced to hoof ball.

We miss Petrov massively and we haven't got enough experience to replace Dunne,Collins,Ireland,Bent and Gabby when they're not fit. Add to this Young,Downing,Walker and the guy who went to QPR  from this time last years team and that's why we're probably going down. We gambled on the kids and they aren't good enough.

Mcleish shoulders much of the blame for this predicament, but the overall 'Ajax of the midlands' strategy of Faulkner is deeply flawed. Even if the kids were good enough, the premier league is an unforgiving place to throw so many in at once

And I'm really not sure how good they are. Albrighton and bannan certainly don't look it at the moment

We are gone IMO Confidence will be completely shot after that game Only sacking the manager would change our fortunes but the two arseholes adore him So Championship here we come under McLeish

If we get relegated one thing is for sure I am not going to call it the Championship. The name does not quite fit anyone relegated.
