I'm pretty sure Glenn Roeder doesn't have a "Big 'Eck" tattoo.

Are you sure?  Do you like AM? Are you in his fanclub?
You can talk, you were overjoyed when he joined saying 'he'll be the next Ron Saunders.'

I remember Warley saying that, too.

The most amazing thing is the way he's done a total about turn, the hypocrite.

I remember him saying that he had his bedroom plastered in Big 'Eck posters, and a tattoo of him on his leg.

My, he's changed his tune.

I also recall him saying
'I'd love to kiss him on his freckled, weather beaten face.'
Love is a losing game.

Just listening to Lambert's press conference and he was asked about the Villa link.

"Unfair to even comment on it/ I can do nothing about those links."  and "Disrespectful,"   to the current manager.

And no time did he say he wouldn't take the job if offered though.
I really hope he's been sounded out

If/when Mcleish does go, he'd be my first port of call were I Randy.

But none of this 'would you like an interview' shit.  Just go get him!!

It's a terrible thing.  He used to be president of the AM fan club but now he's hunting down the club members like some low budget Darth Vader.

Whether I wanted either of them or not, this week if I were Randy I would ring Lambert and Hodgson's agents and offer them both the Villa job, starting at the end of the season.  I would tell them they would have £40m + whatever they raised from sales.

That’s very generous of you to give them 40m!

IF we are in the fortunate position of looking for a new manager soon, I think it is important that any negociation with manager or club is carried out away from the media. We don't want another Martinez type circus.
Also it will be essential this appointment is right so no jumping in, just action when its needed to get the man we can get behind for the next 4 or 5 years.

The England Under 19 and Under 16 coaches are both ex Villa players. Out of the two I would probably go for Kenny Swain though. Noel Blake is arguably the only person who would make McLeish look popular.

Probably clutching at straws but at no point does he say that he doesn’t want it.

The MON-lite thing is something I can see, but I do not see it as *that* much of a problem as he will be able to get something out of our hoofers whilst slowly developing us into a more dynamic team.  As Houllier proved, a Rodgers type appointment might be too big a leap for a lot of the squad.

I don't think the football style was the issue for Gezza and some of our players, but rather his man-management style!

Carlos Queroz(sp)?

Known to be a great coach but a bad manger.  He’d need a DoF to sort out the more mundane tasks.

No way. He was an utter failure as a number one. He made a balls of the Portugal job. They don't rate him in Spain or Portugal. Not what we need at all.
