Whether I wanted either of them or not, this week if I were Randy I would ring Lambert and Hodgson's agents and offer them both the Villa job, starting at the end of the season.  I would tell them they would have £40m + whatever they raised from sales.

We shouldn't approach another manager while we already have one in the job.  By all means start thinking of a replacement, but official moves should wait until the present man goes.

RL,  redeem yourself and go get Rodgers,  today,  now, sharpish.

No chance.  Harry to England.  Rodgers to Spurs.

It is achieves us not acting like a classless bunch of arseholes, such as man City when they sacked Hughes.

It was reported in the French sports press yesterday that Guardiola has been offered the England job and he fancies it.

To be honest we've been too 'nice' in the past, football is a pretty nasty industry and unfortunately we need to keep up. If approaching Norwich about Lambert while Mcleish is still in situe is required then so be it, provided we approach Norwich first rather than Lambert himself.

Then get rid of him now, he's serving no useful purpose here!

If you're going to set yourselves up as a paragon of virtue in the football world, then you won't get very far.

City treated Hughes shabbily, Hughes treated Fulham shabbily. That's the way it works.

I personally hope we do the best we can to get the best manager we can, however we have to do it.

No, it's called preparing in case we don't get our man. Look at Wolves, got rid of McCarthy and gambled getting another one in, it didn't work and they went down, left with a coach out of his depth. We can't afford to be polite, we have to do what's in the best interests of our football club.

That's not going to happen.  We might want it to happen, but it won't.

Pep !!!! There is a vacancy (almost anyway ) it's in Birmingham (no not managing Birmingham but the other team in Claret  and Blue) we used to be European Champions many years ago and we have been fairly successful over the years (but not for a few) well we are currently just about hanging in there in the Premier League. To be honest our current manager is useless, well in fact he's a joke , no in fact he really does not know what he is doing. Please come and take a look at us. I just hope the incumbent person in charge at the moment does not get us relegated (he has a knack of taking teams down )especially when they have  a (B) Postcode. Come to think of it he gets teams relegated wherever he goes.

Yes, WW. Let's get Pep Guardiola. Good idea, nobody had thought of wanting Pep Guardiola as manager, but thanks for enlightening us.

One problem if Lambert is in the frame - he'd probably only come to us if we're in the Premier League.  Which means his players might have an incentive to beat us, so they don't lose him.
