Villa have turned down Huddlestone's representatives, when approached to have him on loan.

If thats the case then I would hope we must have a signing lined up - otherwise I would have took him on loan (just not on the same loan terms as the Jenas deal)

It's quite possible that Bertie is relatively happy with his options for that area of the pitch and wants to concentrate whatever funds we have left on areas he sees a greater priority, such as LB and a new creative player/striker.

Huddlestone did have promise, but he's now 15 and seems like he's been injured for a long time.
I'm not sure.
It would probably end up like Jenas did last season.

Only 15 ? That's a bit young to be writing him off

I think that sentence is missing the word 'stone'.

Strange for Stoke to sign a player who's main attribute is passing the football.

I agree but the Hutton deal was not so perfect.

I'd love to know exactly how much Jenas cost in all.

whatever it was it was a complete waste,
although i do believe if a loan player is injured whilst on your watch then its your responsibility to ahere to the deal.

you wouldnt lend a lawnmower of your neigbour, smash it into a tree, then say sorry you can have it back now its up to you to put it right

True , but you wouldnt borrow a lawnmower made of glass

I actually think Stoke have some good passers of the ball, it's a shame they don't use them

Huddleston.

Surely he's not that fat?

PL at Wolves last night - must be scouting big Marlon Harewood upfront for Barnsley (shiver).

I see that Fletcher was not involved, or even on the bench - I assume he is not injured?

Fletcher is "injured". Which means being sold.

Charlie Adam is appaz on the transfer list. I'd like to see him at the Villa.

I think Lambert was probably looking at Stephen Ward, I can't see us forking out that much for Fletcher

Disappointed if Huddlestone ends up at Stoke.

I think Adam would be a very useful signing for us.  I think his move to LFC was too much of a big step.  Where we are now, he'd be ideal

If he is scouting Ward, then he must see something that I my untrained has never seen. Was woeful for Ireland in the Euros.
