Here's something that will make you laugh....
I saw an "ITK" account on tweeter tweet that PL was at Wolves yesterday to reignite his interest in.....what for it........KARL HENRY!
This is the same Karl Henry who is shite and has signed a new extended contract this season.

I don't rate Adam at all. He's a poor mans Gareth Barry. He tries the spectacular pass too often. He can't last 90 minutes. He's slow. He can't tackle. For me we're missing someone who can dominate in midfield. Someone who'll cover every blade and someone influential. Adam is not that.
We'd have decent set piece delivery and the odd decent pass but not much more.
I think we've got enough players who can pick a pass. We've got no one who can run the midfield though. Bannan is potentially as good as Adam, possibly better. He's got many of the same strengths. And weaknesses.

Plus I've had enough Liverpool cast offs to last me a life time.

I agree with that about Adam, I've never seen the appeal.  He's a decent player but nothing more, I don't see what he'd bring to us.  Same for huddlestone.  If we're after a midfielder we need someone who's willing to put the work in getting up and down the pitch, but with the ability to play a bit as well.  Annan is the best option I've seen linked, I think he'd be a great signing but, after he was mentioned once or twice a few weeks back that link has gone ice cold.

Left back is still the key for me though.  A good signing there and we have the basis of a good side, it'll be about finding their strengths and playing to them, which will come with training.  Another couple of players to add quality on the bench would be good, and is needed for us to really push on, but it won't be a disaster if the only signing before the window closes is a really strong attacking left back.

Stoke's Jermaine Pennant on Twitter: Morning ladies n gents..I walked in training and got a shock saw my friend Tom Huddleston. On loan till end of season, good signing."

Why do newspapers even bother with speculation anymore - this twatter thing means that with such instant news they dont stand a chance anymore

And who taught a moron like Pennant to use a phone - i am amazed he can walk and chew gum at the same time. Amazing how such a below average player and even lower human being can make such a living from the game

Agreed on Adams - too slow, too many attempted hollywood passes and doesn't put a shift in.

In his best ever season, for Blackpool, he failed to win the fans or players' player of the year award - that says a lot to me. King Kenny made a big mistake, no reason for us to do likewise even for much less money.

How come this left back who was apparently going to Saints a couple of months ago before the deal went cold has now ended up at Man U.  Couldn't we have snaffled in there while he was talking to Saints?

Lambert went to watch Wolves, not Stoke.

Jarvis is being sold for 10 million (yes...) to West Ham.

Liking Adam or not is beside the point, that's the market we're shopping in these days.

I think clubs that pay inflated fees for average players should be allowed to sue Man City for artificially inflating the market.

I'd much rather stay in the market that brought us players like KEA.

As per an earlier post - IMO we don't need another midfield player to make up the numbers or play a bit part (all I think Adam is capable of at best).

If we recruit in midfield it has to be:
1. someone to 'boss' the game - though presumably KEA has been bought in for that, or
2. someone to be the creative spark - Adam is not that (IMO) even if we are shopping in the bargain basement
