I hadn't realised that Andi Weimann, currently without a club now he's been released by Bristol City,  is in Austria's Euros squad.

He's got to be up there as one of the longest gaps between international caps - nothing between 2015 and 2022

Always liked Andi.
His goal, vrs ManC, and celebration in front of the Holte were classics.
Hoped he and Benteke could have been the next Withe and Shaw.

The wonderfully named Rushian Marcus Amori Hepburn-Murphy will be plying his trade at Crawley Town FC next season having moved there on a freebie from Swindon Town FC. Also Jacob Bedeau who was once thought likely of potential greatness has joined Notts County.

Not sure if mentioned anwhere, but according to various transfer gossip places, Jaden Philogene is attracting interest at £20m from the likes of Barcelona, Everton and Spurs.  Are we likely to get any benefit from a sale?  Given we've signed Iling-Jnr and Rogers in the last 6 months, I don't see us having him back.

We've a sell-on, I think. Not sure how much though but it's been mentioned online a bit.

I'd hope it's a decent amount as we let them have him for a lick of their ice cream cone and two jubblies.

He had a lost decade almost as much as the Villa did. We were all tainted.

Uncle Albert is apparently training with Walsall with a view to a potential deal.

Blame insomnia on this but in the early hours of this morning I found out that Easah Suliman is now playing in the Azerbaijan and is also now captain of the Pakistan national team. Not bad for the lad from Hall Green.

Wasn't he captain of the England U-21s in 2017/18?

Not that Bruce ever gave him a chance, of course...

According to the good people of Wikipedia he was indeed captain of the U19's and also the first of Asian heritage to captain any English national representative side. He is now considered (at the age of 26) to be the best Captain and centre half Pakistan has ever had.

As I think I said a couple of times at the time, when we left the IOM the bloke who bought our house was the owner of Cheltenham Town. They took Suliman on loan, and said he was great on the ball but that he wasn't remotely physical enough for whatever league it was, so they cut short his loan after a few games.

I've heard similar, supremely talented player at every age group but was just too nice and played as if it was a non-contact sport. Apparently Villa spent ages trying to get him mentally up for the fight but he just never seemed to realise that the rough stuff is an important part of the game.

I'd have loved to see him train against Davis who the same person has told me is the most physically dominant player he's ever seen.

Bertrand Traore's signed for Ajax for a couple of years. Nice move for both parties, that.
