The Bricklayers Arms on other side of Putney Bridge, in Waterman St (200yds along Lower Richmond Road, going West on Sth side) is worth effort. Permanent Real Ale Festival.
Otherwise The Crabtree in Rainvile Road is closest to ground.
Pubs in Hammersmith are generally nondescript although many sell a good pint of Fullers, London Pride, the local Brewery.

Don't go in the Bricklayer's. It's crap. Honest. Really. Truly. Go somewhere else. Please.

I am trying to work this out as I am coming from Victoria. The way I see it is to get train to Clapham junction, train to West Brompton and walk? Or is it walkable from Victoria?

Take local train from CJ to Putney High St and walk North up over Putney Bridge.
You can get to Putney from Victoria and Waterloo via CJ. You may have to change at CJ from Victoria?

No circle line on Saturday, but just get a District Line westbound from Victoria. If it's not going towards Wimbledon, change at Earls Court, for one that is. Get off at Putney Bridge, follow the thousands of other Villa shirts to the ground.

There is always The Falcon in Clapham Junction..large old fashioned 'Nicholson's'pub with good array of beers..assuming it did not get trashed in riots, of course..I don't believe it did. Nothing wrong with the Brickie..unless it's gone downhill in last couple years and you hate real Ales. It is probably a bit small for a major 'away' contingent.. Lots of flash, expensive, bars in Putney and Fulham Broadway if that is your cuppa meat but be prepared to meet Chelsea supporters.
There is a dearth of good pubs around FFC. It is a bit like Bournville tbh.
The Duke's Head in Lwr Richmond Road overlooks the river?? You can see it from bridge. Probably see FFC from it also. Bit yuppie.!

The Crabtree, on the Hammersmith side of the ground, is always nice. Decent mix of fans, good ale, beer garden by the river, barbecue before the game.

Been there the last few seasons, will be there on Saturday with mates.

I'm glad it's going ahead, it's always one of the better away games, and the pubs are very good. We tried a different one to our normal one last season and it turned into a bit of song fest in there. The Eight Bells looked a bit naff though.

Bricklayers is a horrible pub. Really wouldn't recommend going anywhere near there, it's gone downhill since a few years ago.

Duke's Head was always my pub-of-choice on the south side; on the river opposite Craven Cottage. Just wish I was going to be there on Saturday.

It's not that bad. Bloody spoiled for pubs you Northerners, sorry Black-countriers.
