A 6PM protest is no good to me. My opinion doesn't get home from work till quarter past. Also, banners are one thing but it wasn't great to turn on the TV this morning and see the grafitti.

I received another email from Villa this morning offering me an "Aston villa Credit Card".

At the bottom of the email is an unsubscribe button. If enough people use that (it takes one click to unsubscribe when you click through), they might take notice. These boys place real value on their marketing lists.

I guess the most powerful way the fans can make their statement is to vote with their feet.  Are we going to have a poll to see how many are going to carry through their threat to not renew/send their season ticket back?

'Bluenose scum not welcome' was discovered on a wall at their Bodymoor Heath training ground on Wednesday morning.

Classy.

Oh well at least everything else in society must be hunky dory if all these people are threatening to protest about the appointment of a football manager.
.

Yup. The last time I heard "democratic right" it was from whingers about smoking in pubs. They'd be banging on the previous day about their disgust at student demos etc.

Can't see what they're planning to achieve frankly. If they turn up and protest then the board are squeezed even further into a corner because even if they decide they don't want him, the papers will be full off "Fan's force weak board into U-turn" headlines - i mean Mclaren didn't even get approached and apparently we lost him the gig. Obviously if its just some futile "well you'll appoint him anyway but we're not happy" gesture then fair enough.

It would be interesting to look back through the "Gift that keeps on Giving" thread to see whether the people who have mocked Small Heath over the last few years for their pitifully low attendances are the same people who now say they'll do exactly the same thing and stop coming down the Villa if we end up with the manager they had!

I was trying to find a Youtube clip of the two blokes on Modern Family when they get into a panic. Two excellent characters. But life is too short.

any Villa "fan" spraying graffiti on our own property irrespective of their views on McLeish is not only a complete idiot, but an utter, utter wanker.

It really is about time some of you realised that this is just a football team, if your hobby (and that is what it is no matter what anyone, even Bill Shankly, says) is winding you up to such an extent that you feel the need to protest against a manager that hasn't even been appointed, vandalise club property, write nonsensical banners or spout bollocks on a message board that makes you sound like a frothing lunatic then I'd advise you to get a new hobby.
Try needlepoint, or walking through Stapely Water Gardens (but take a flask).
