Red sauce or brown sauce daubed on the walls at Bodymoor Heath?

Whoever it was is not a true Villa fan!

Maybe it was a dirty protest.

If there is so many people.  Just surround Randy Lerner in the car and everyone should sit down until he made an promise not to appoint him.  Ditto for Alex to make him not turn up for interview.

Can we change the thread title to 'Drama Queens of the World - Unite!'.

Tossers.

Tossers are people who go on message boards and insult other fans by calling them tossers for exercising their democratic right to protest.

Unbelievable.   :o

agreed 100%.

McLeish will almost certainly be a disastrous appointment for AVFC, I applaud those who protest.

People are too willing in society generally to tolerate bad decisions from those in authority. Enough here are willing to kiss Randy Lerner's arse and those of his yes men. They might have made many good decisions in charge of Villa but the last management choice wasnt one and Alex Mcleish will be an awful one. Buying Stephen Ireland without a manager and above all else managing a club where 80+% of club turnover was going on staff wages were other really bad efforts. It is the responsibility of supporters to criticise and praise when due. Not turn a blind eye, when the board are on the verge of making a catastrophic appointment for the biggest job in the club.

Also, what does anyone care what the 'london' media think? Repeatedly on the site posters refer to the london media downing the club. Now they seem to be running scared about what Oliver Holt might write tomorrow. Now that is truly small time behaviour.

people have a democratic right to stand up for what is wrong. Appointing Alex McLeish is wrong on every level.

Well said Billy.

I'm confused as to the point of the protest.  Do people think the board aren't aware of the general feeling about the possible appointment?  They've already acknowledged this in a statement and still feel that AM deserves at least an interview so they're hardly gonna look out the window and see 50 odd people (the majority you can bet will be visiting villa park for the first time) and think "oh, it appears the fans may not be happy with us appointing AM".

It won't change anything and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.  Let's get the new manager in (even if it is AM), start building towards the forthcoming season and get behind the club

What makes you think this thread is for sensible comments?

Never mind that, power to the people, it's our democratic right.....

You wake up late for school - man you don't wanna go
You ask you mom, "Please?" - but she still says, "No!"
You missed two classes - and no homework
But your teacher preaches class like you're some kind of jerk

You gotta fight for your right to moan

I personally dont see the point in this protest.  They will be appointing AM regardless of what the fans think.  they have made it pretty clear in their statement.

Chris, thats the second time you've put a song in my bloody head, the other day it was the specials, now the beastie boys! You have a lot to answer for!  ;D

In regards to this, Damaging Aston Villa property is NEVER ok. Protest if you want but that is too much in my opinion

Oh well at least everything else in society must be hunky dory if all these people are threatening to protest about the appointment of a football manager.
Do me a favour though if you're going tonight - when someone from national media puts a mike in front of you and asks why you're protesting and what your opinions are, just pause for a second and think of the thousands of people watching on TV waiting to laugh their socks off at you, and don't make yourself look even more of a prize prat! At least try and come out with a half-intelligent response to justify your actions.

Assuming he is appointed today, those going to demonstrate their democratic rights could instead give McLeish a nice, warm welcome to Aston Villa, similar to the one MON got on his arrival.

Yes but instead of waving and cheering they will be trying to shake the shit out of everyone inside. They better come with bullet proof windows

Bullet proof windows! Think it's going to turn nasty, Phil?

For Chris Smith..

When they kick at your car door
How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head
Or the trigger of your gun?

You can shush us
You can boo us
Even shout nasty things to us
But you'll have to answer to
Oh, oh, the guns of B6
