Supporting Aston Villa  football Club  is an honour and a privilege. I will not turn up at the protest but as this is all about passion I respect those who will express their passion by showing discontent.
Bravo and good luck.

How I feel.  Am at Peter Kay tomorrow otherwise I'd join.  Should we all just accept it if 90% fell so strongly?

We'll appoint a new manager, whether its McLeish or someone else.
He'll say positive things in his press conference.
The fixture list will be revealed for the new season.
We'll buy some exciting new players.
The season will start and we'll all be there as usual.

We'll get over it, for God's sake!

What exciting new players will want to join us now? And based on this managerial appointment can we afford them anyway? If Mcleish is there I won't be. I'll come back when the nightmare is over.

If you've really only missed three games in 15 years, you'll be there again next season. This hysteria will soon fade.

Trouble is, so will a lot of interest from more casual fans.  This is bound to have a serious negative effect on our attendances.  Not just because of the Blues thing, but appointing such a dismal manager is hardly a statement of intent to get people excited is it?

The cameras and reporters will be there just as they have been live tonight outside the Villa offices with lights still on, but Lerner and his board won't.

True. I reckon our attendances will be down a fair bit next season unless McLeish produces something to draw them back in (good signings, a good start etc) which I don't foresee.

I almost didn't renew for financial reasons (pay cut at work) but I trusted them to get a decent manager in and I'd be gutted to miss out. Now we look set for a miserable season I can't justify spending that much money on something I won't even enjoy anymore. As I've said before, I've never dreaded going to Villa Park but the idea of that first game is just awful.

If people aren't happy then let them make it known.  At least they're being proactive unlike most the 'tossers' on here who will moan about how outrageous this is but would rather sit on their arse.

It's so bloody small time it's something I couldn't even imagine the Kuckledraggers doing. The lengths some people will go to be on TV... totally embarrassing. Proactive my arse.

Let 'em get on with it Mark, they're no more embarrassing than the shambles that Lerner seems intent on turning the club into.
