So are you any clearer on who IS in the frame Mysteryman?

If I answer it will just cause a problem so I am going to say No

Odd way to say yes.

Villa will not deny it because every time a new speculation comes up it would mean them having to deny it which means when they don't then deny it  then it implies there is something in it . They do not want to say anything until it's in the bag .

But It will not be McCleish !

I can't see Moyes coming at all

Don't crush our hopes!

Just don't see the love in for Moyes.  How many trophies has he won at Everton?  Come on Randy go for somebody with pedigree or potential.

And your suggestions are?

Rijkaard,  Flores,  Grayson,  Coyle,  Sid....................

Agree with the first 2, think the next 2 are potentially better than Moyes but would be very risky and the last option whilst I'd love it to work isn't something I'd want us to try, I couldn't handle the emotions if it went wrong.

I'm also not sold on Moyes, I just don't think his side play great football and I don't like the fact that for at least the last 4-5 seasons they've seemed totally under-prepared at the start of the season and only really start to look a good side after christmas.  In my opinion he's had enough time at Everton to really create something but what actually happens is they seem to stumble along happy to be nice and safe in the top half but never really threatening to get any better.  When you add to that the fact that he's only really had 2 players leave that he would have wanted to keep (Rooney and Lescott) they should be getting stronger each season as he makes slight improvements to the team but this hasn't really happened, every new signing is on the same level as what he has (or worse).  This was exactly the trap MON had fallen in to with us which was a cause of huge frustration so to me going for Moyes would be going back to that same cycle of consistently challenging for europe but never pushing on.

Going for someone like Rijkaard would be better as he's seen what it takes to make it at the very top and should therefore be better suited to finding the right players to improve on what we have, rather than replacing like for like.  He also has a very good record of giving youth a chance which is something we clearly need int he next coach given the amount of top prospects we have around the club at the minute.

I have only posted what I know which is Hughes is not being considered  , I said  McClaren wouldn't happen  as you saw gone to Forest but was considered , Benitez still not sure if they will go back to him if Plan A fails , McCliesh not considered but they aint going to slag the bloke off either .  I am not going to post who I think we are in for because it is not definate and I am not going to cock things up either by speculating when it could be very close .

Can't stand Moyes,  completely overated IMO.  Everything about him is dour and that sums up Everton also to me.

However, I'd happliy give a piggyback from Goodison to VP if it meant not having some of the other shit suggested.
