Mohammad Yousuf? I thought we were getting Khan?
Khan is with Pakistan in the West Indies, he should join up by the end of May

Does this mean we will eventually have both? Surely then we can drop Westwood?

Mohammad Yousuf who made his debut for the Bears yesterday is a cracking player. He's the guy who converted to Islam a few months after making his Pakistan debut. As Yousuf Youhana he was only the 4th Christian to play for Pakistan. A first class avergae of over 48 and a test average of over 50 shows the guy's class.

Younis Khan is still listed as our overseas player for the 2011 season so I would imagine that Mohammad Yousuf has been signed as a short term replacement. Given the perilous financial state of the county game this is a very good signing.

It will be a very important first hour for the Bears today. We need to exploit the favourable early morning conditions to have any chance of remaining in this game.

Couple of quick wickets, but still looking good for the Pears (376-9)

I think Younis Khan's contract has been annulled and we have only got Yousuf for six weeks.

I think that Yousuf is just covering for Younis Khan for these 6 weeks or so and that once that Pakistan tour of West Indies is completed, he will be free for Warwickshire.

So when we have Khan, Bell and Trott will Westwood still open???? :-).   Although fair play to him for digging in this evening

I don't think Khan is going to be playing for us.

Saw them yesterday and sadly not enough time to make anything of Yousuf. Only Woakes after surviving a couple of scares looked the part, Troughton a little unlucky with his dismissal. The Pears bowled well (gritted teeth) it has to be said.

Are we going to have the long-awaited H&V Cricket Day at Edgbaston this year? I fancy 5th June, against Northants in the Twenty20, as it's the day before my birthday.

I'll check my shifts but sounds good to me.

Another ton for Chopra. Word is that he has really come on over the winter. It'll be interesting to see who gets the chop for the games that Trott and Bell can play. Westwood and A.N.Other I imagine. Tough to drop the skipper!

How many games will Trott and Bell actually be able to play this year? By all accounts they had an exhausting winter. Now both are firmly established in the One-Day and Test teams I doubt we'll be seeing too much of them.
